kickserv just had some tasty chicken......

thanks UGA:SIB

I know you had no intentions of bar-b-queing tonight, but on those other birds you have, brine them longer, put whatever rub suits you, and put on indirect heat on the grill with some hickory chips that have been soaked in water. An oven is fine if it is a must, but nothing compares to the taste of a beer can chicken smoked on the grill:mj06: Glad it turned out okay:mj06:

next time roast three entire cloves of garlic. Prior to doing this slice the top off of the clove that way when roasted you just squeeze the bottom of the clove and the sticky garlic goodness comes out. Put Garlic in food processor with quarter cup of fresh rosemary and add extra virgin olive oil until it develops into a soft paste and cover the entire bird with it.
Prior to that rub the entire inside of the chicken with kosher salt then score a lemon or an orange and I prefer an orange right into the ass.

Roast it at 350 at for about 45 minutes to an hour when it comes out take the back of a knife and just tap the now hardened crust of the chicken and it should fall away. Will be the best bird you have ever eaten. Try it next time...

Hope this helps,
FDC

First in your hearts.
1.5 cup whipped cream
3 chicken breasts
2 cups of shredded cheese
flour
2 eggs

Get a baking dish and spray it. Cover the bottom with some of the shredded cheese. Salt and whip the eggs. Slice chicken breasts into pieces. Put them in the flour laying them over the cheese. Fresh pepper on top along with more shredded cheese. Put eggs and everything else in, combining all ingredients. Put into casserole dish and cover top with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes. It was pretty good with the bud light I'm drinking right now.

With this recipe --and really all chicken casserole recipes-- you need to cook the chicken first. I'm sure whoever wrote the recipe figured that the cook would know that. Seeing as how the original poster wasn't sure how to cook a chicken I thought I'd add that, just in case. So kickserv, if you have any chicken left over, this would be an excellent way to cook it.

My husband once made cheese dip from my recipe and put raw sausage in it, thinking it would cook. Well, he's an Id-Yot and that won't work, but I have to admit my recipe didn't say to cook it first.
