Nice one-day winning streak, there
When you're this hot, they call you Mr. Iced E
Looks like 4/5 70+% are winners (3 on runline), assuming Giants don't come back from their late 2-0 deficit. Minimal consolation in this result.
Most likely winners Thursday (only 70+'s) appear to be Series candidates Giants and Yankees. Prices are too high, and I haven't taken runlines at -125 and -135, respectively, as they seem a little high, too.
Nothing wrong with being a little high, but I got bills to (somehow) pay.
Others I'm considering:
Philly@Rocks under 11.5 +105, though ump Layne hurts a little
Pirates@Giants under 8.5, -120 a little high; where is SF's O?
D'Backs -160 (got 69% here, which seems a little high, but would be PV+7); runline at +120 would be scary, especially with Schilling&Co. just squeeking by Wednesday
Twins@Orioles under 9 +105 (this one looks IFFY, now that I see it in tube-shine)
A's@Tigers under 8 +100; woulda been way on this one, but ump West has me reconsidering; Bonderman's home starts have generally played under, I've noticed, and Zito's recent troubles should be cured by his opponent here
Bosox -1.5 +125 (got 63% for the game, and 50 for the runline)
Indians +1.5 +125 as Garcia fools no one these days, and Traber has shown some great potential; offense? ... good point ...
PLAYING:
Marlins (Beckett@Tomko) +110
--Marlins hot, Beckett is smokin', Tomko is a dud, Marlins have better pen, Cards prefer lefties (both starters have good career #'s vs, with Beckett's a little more impressive)
2/2.2
Astros -1.5 -110 (Trachsel@Redding)
--Trachsel not so hot vs Astros, while Redding has been great vs Mets in minimal work; looks like smelling salts may have worked on Astros bats, as they came back to life yesterday -- should be another non-close affair Thursday; monster BP edge also
1.1/1
Time to chillax. Weekend will provide more enticement.
At my expense I remain undaunted. Watch the weather change.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The snake behind me hisses
What my damage could have been.
My blood before me begs me
Open up my heart again.
And I feel this coming over like a storm again.
Considerately.
