Wow, if this kid could have gotten any better of an offer I wouldn't know what it would be.

The guys from Fuel have offered him their lead singer job. Not sure what happened to the old guy but this is a taylor made band for Chris.

I think their sales will be unbelievable with their core fans and then adding the AI fan base.

I'm happy for him, seems like a good kid who just likes to rock to me.

he was offered the gig weeks ago after his rendition of hemmorhage on the show. while on the show he couldn't comment on it, but let it be known that he wouldn't take it.

i think its a mistake for him to take it. i mean how big is feul? not very. is there anyone who can name more than that song? if so, not many.

he's best to take a few months off and think what is best for him. he should get good songwriters and start his own band.

fuel is going nowhere. he has the potential to be real big with other musicians starting from scratch.

and the old guy from fuel quit the band.

as for chris, hes definitely gonna make it and it couldn't happen to a better guy. quit his dreams to stay with his wife and two kids that aren't even his own. worked 60 hour weeks at a crap job to support them. good guy and he'll be just fine in the near future monetarily.

I sure wish I knew what a "Fuel" was. I take it they aren't bad?

Well, I checked over at yahoo and gave 2 videos about 1 min each. They're definitely hard rock. I agree with BDB. Take some time off and make a better decision.

He's a good kid. His story will become a made-for-TV movie probably in a few years after he makes it big.

i don't think fuel would be a good fit for him anyway. he is more hard rock and fuel is not actually hard rock as some might think. shimmer, innocent, bad day and hemmorage are not full throttle rock. he would be better of with a godsmack type style. that would be a perfect fit for him. he his good and i hope he looks toward the alternative heavy style he would be very succesfull. he has to find a band with some good back up and strong writing skills. hope he does well.

I actually believe a band "like" FUEL is the best fit for him. As we saw a few weeks back when he was really pushing his voice, he started to lose it. Plus he has no tatoos, and he isn't unattractive enough to be in a GODSMACK type band. In addition to that, he has the wife and two kids, family man image, all of which aren't condusive to the heavy thing. As far as getting with "good writers", well that is everybody's wish, the problem is, finding them. There are a lot of great musicians out there, just not a lot of original ones. I wish him well, I just hope he doesn't take too long figring out what he is going to do, because Americans have no patience and he will be forgotten quickly once out of the public eye.

Another 'Idol' Voting Controversy?
"American Idol" fans have been left to theorize how Chris Daughtry, one of the season's most-talked-about contestants -- and the odds-on favorite to win the competition -- could have been eliminated from the show. Could the answer possibly lie within the show's voting phone lines?
Online message boards are burning up with a groundswell of complaints from "Idol" faithful about voters receiving busy signals and mis-directed calls during the voting period.

The owner of Nancy's Restaurant in east Greensboro, North Carolina, Henry Wicker, tells the Greensboro News-Record that "We've had people in here today who tried to call and kept getting a busy signal. How can you vote if you can't get through? They felt like it wasn't fair."

A family friend, Tracey Adams, tells the Associated Press that some of Daughtry's fans from his hometown were hearing another singer's voice thanking them for their vote, a problem echoed on online message boards and radio stations across the country. MSNBC cites fan feedback received by the news outlet as having pegged the voice as belonging to contestant Katharine McPhee, Daughtry's "bottom two" companion who had emerged from the Tuesday performance show as the odds-on favorite to be eliminated from the competition after forgetting some of her song lyrics.

While "Idol" producers have yet to comment on the voting complaints, some of Daughtry's fans -- having already expressed their desire to quit watching "Idol" over his ousting -- are suggesting that the singer try out for "Rock Star," the Mark Burnett-led summer reality series that helped J. D. Fortune re-ignite the Australian group INXS as their new lead singer.

However, Reality TV Magazine reports that during a recent media conference call, Daughtry -- who has already been offered the opportunity to become the lead singer of the group "Fuel" -- revealed that he had tried out for the first "Rock Star," but that "it didn't go too well, obviously. But no, I didn't make it on that show and I realized then that was because I was supposed to be on this show."

The singer reportedly went on to claim that he has no plans to try out for "Rock Star" again, but will Chris have a second shot at "Idol" glory? Stay tuned!
