Where it is real F ing COLD
Green Bay -6.5

Two teams that have been headed in opposite directions the past month.. The Packers have all the momentum and the Stars on offense to win this by 10 points plus. The Vikes simply can't run the ball and have no real Playmakers inside the redzone. The Vikes are absolutely decimated as well and the replacements well are garbage. Vikes will most likely be without stud safety Harrison Smith and second year corner Trae Waynes.. This forces them to play soft zone defense and unwilling to take chances. Add in that there is definitely something wrong with Linebackers Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr. Vikes have no push on either fronts and expect the Packers O line to dominate in the trenches.

Rodgers gets his and Vikings keep checking down.

Pack 27 - 10

BP, thanks for your insight. What happened with their defense yesterday? I was shocked at that performance.

They have three major problems right now on defense.. 1. Harrison Smith and Waynes were out so they kept Greenway at LB on the field more than usual. Luck was able to pick on Greenway and the backup safety at anytime last Sunday. I was at the game and man you could see it plain as day. Because if these weaknesses they aren't blitzing like they once did and not playing tight man coverage. More zone and getting chewed up.2. The Vikes interior defense is getting pushed back and they are getting run right over. Linval Joseph has regressed and Floyd been out all season, their backup tackles not very good. 3. Linebacker Anthony Barr and Erik Kendricks are banged up and you can tell they collided back when they played Washington and haven't been the same since. Both are Great coverage and blitzing linebackers.. they can't cover and they don't blitz them. They look a step slower than usual, it's noticeable. 4. let's add another. the offense is soooooooo bad that these guys are constantly on the field that I think they are gassed this time of the season or they are simply deflated after having the fast start. This is a team who had 8 starters out yesterday and 2 playing severely banged up. what a toilet dumpster this season has become

I hope that you are having a good Christmas season BP.

:toast:

I hope that you are right about the Packer game but nothing will surprise me this year in the NFL. Watch those dang queens march into Lambeau and win.

BP, thanks for the response. I think your final point (#4) might be the most detrimental factor affecting the Viking's performance right now. They just can't keep the defense of the field with as bad as the offense has been...and that wears down a unit over time. It makes sense that early in the season, the defense could make up for the ineptness of the offense (thus a 5-0 start). But relying on one side of the ball too much can wear the other down and it is week 16 after all. Good points all around.

wind chill of 25..that not bitter cold by any stretch..but by my count the Vikings down the street from the frozen tundra have not played even a cold weather game this season..

but lets remember...Vikings D was built on speed and quickness on the Speed Series-S5-M turf and if memory serves me GB still plays on real grass.

probably comfy at first..but come that 2nd half after warming up in locker room..may be a little chilly

Vikings have no business wining this game..

Pack has ripped off 4 in row..2 OTR and a convincing win over Seattle in GB

They will be in a million teasers..and rightfully so..

GB field is now heated to prevent the freezing ........only where players sit on hot benches is not heated

Viking team plane slid off tarmac last evening in Appleton. Took 4 hours to get team deplaned. Not sure if this has any bearing on game, but its info i guess.
