I go every Sunday and other Catholic holy days of "obligation" (which I think is kind of silly).

That being said, I think the decision to go to church or not has very little bearing on what type of person you are. I'm certainly not any better than anyone else because I go. I think it makes me a better person, but others may gain the same effect in other ways.

I have my doubts about how religion is practiced, but I use it as a guideline for my own personal version of faith. Without the structure, I would probably forget it altogether which, in my case, would probably have negative effects.

Three to Four times a month. Thats good enough for me. After going thru a Lutheran grade school and having it poured down me everyday. I find 3/4 times a month is plenty.
The Bigger question to me is does one believe. And I do. And I can do that with out the Church.

It has been my experience that finding a good pastor and a "Christ-centered, bible teaching church" is like finding a needle in haystack.

I was raised Catholic and went to a Catholic school for several years. Last year, someone asked me a question about being Catholic that absolutely stopped me in my tracks....They asked, "Why don't Catholics take their bible to church?".

If you have a pastor that teaches from the bible and emphasizes the teachings of Jesus rather than voice his own opinion, you'll find your walk with the Master more glorious than anything you could possibly imagine.

I could argue, but I won't ;) that Catholic priests interject their own personal opinion less than ANY preacher. Their job is to communicate the Catholic view, not their own.

But no argument from me... :SIB
