Capped the PLAYABLE races at Churchill for Sat. and found two races where my 3rd rated horse was pretty far ahead of my 4th rated horse. Here's them two races with the best of the three picks named on top...

Race 9
No. 1,Aikenite, 5-1 M.L.
no. 4
no. 7

Race 10
No. 8, Double Partner, M.L. 6-1
no. 1
no. 5

Guess that's it.

OH, ... dang, the DARBY ! :0041

I went over the horses just using reasoning and the "basics" and came up with Shakle.
Did the heavy duty no. crunching which works better and find that this race ain't what I thought it was. IT'S TOUGH alright. :mj03: Actually, TOO TOUGH.

If Mo is alright, him and Dialed prob. DO deserve to be favored, but in a field of 20 with the better one (Dialed) being a solidly confirmed closer??? Thems not for me.

Besides, just cause the other ones in this race didn't pick those two major prep races to do their thing like Dialed and Mo did.. too many of them accomplished the same thing you woulda expected from Mo and Dialed in them races. Mo is a shaky proposition IF HE EVEN RUNS and Dialed is at a big disadvantage due to his running style. And what about the odds? BTW, I think Shakleford is gonna get bet down more than just a bit from his M.L.

Not gonna attempt a trifecta or even an exacta :0039
A zuppa?.. :00011
(suggest playing the Lotto instead, OR better yet a PICK 5, as in state lottery - not the horsie kind neither, where you DO have a very slim chance instead of virtually no chance at all).

Not even worth posting in the "OFFICIAL" ;) Darby thread but the bestest I can do for now is.....

- found something unusual after during the serious no. crunching thing.
The "pick" is ---> the wiener is gonna start with the letter "S" (as in Superhoss).

Hoping, I'll be able to throw at least one or two of them away after SEEing them in the prerace.

(ya know, being an exactaholic, I'm thinking about maybe a Super Sackta. You know, like maybe box Sxxxx with Sxxxx. Hmmm.)

UPDATE -> No need to worry bout Mo, him's out of the race.

G.L.

Wasn't gonna bother, but since you stopped in HM I'll spill all the beans LOL.

I've pretty much made up my mind.

I got them "S" horses (every one that starts with the letter "S" ) in all kinds of exactas. Each one is only $2 boxes but the payoffs should be huge. Too many to list and I doubt anybody's gonna follow this "craziiness". It ain't cwazy though. Yeah, I couldn't resist the zacta thingies, payoff should be excellent almost no matter who wins it.

Looks silly playing them this way, but ya gotta have a trick pony/angle for races like this. AND 3 of them are in my 5 top picks (all rated very close to each other), all 4 of them are in my top 7 picks. Excuse SOLDAT's last race, check out his works, the trainer is one of my absolute TOP trainers, and this horse has the speed to get excellent position. That GP race he ran in was one of the very few GP races I actually watched that Saturday. Yeah, he disappoiinted a lot of folks (I didn't play him), but TO ME he looked damn good despite the poor finish. Best of all, the number cruncher formulars got him rated way up there.

That HOT PANTS horse is a live longshot. Think this one will lead them a long, long way and should AT LEAST hit the board if not win it all. Gets excellent speed figures acccording to the way I pickem. Great odds anyways.

The thing that may interest you is that my side bet which is actually my MAIN bet is a decent ACCROSS THE BOARD play is on SOLDAT. Got enough down on him such that - he runs 2nd, I'm happy for the whole day... he runs 3rd I should break about even depending on who else comes in with him, he wins... it's party time. :)

Didn't see who you like yet.. I'll stop in to see which place you got your picks. Good LUCK whatever they are, HM.

Yeah, now I guess we'll get back to normal; you know - like me you and about 4 or 5 other folks that have keyboards that work. :(
No sense sticking around to write to ourselves.
Was nice to see all the horseplayers come out though.

Today's notes
Caught the nice Win/Place prices on that Aikenite hoss. Always something though - I spent a good 5- 10 minutes deciding between the no. 3 and the no. 7 to put in the zacta with the no. 1. Wound up going with the wrong dang one. SHEEET!

Soldat - biggest bet of the day/biggest LOSS of the day. Had a feeling I was in trouble when I saw how he looked in the prerace. That hoss can really motor WHEN HE'S ON HIS GAME. Bottom line with him is - ya gotta check him out BEFORE the race cause he telegraphs his intentions before the race every time he runs. Mrs. 'boski told me to put 2 stinkin bucks on Johnny V's horse just before the race. Did just that for her and she had a better day asfaras the Derby goes than I did.

I used to play only TWO tracks - Suffolk and Philly. Suffolk closes shop early and Philly keeps running. That is when I stuck to Philly and got to know that place VERY well. Forgot about Suffolk.
Maybe I can find something at that place this year since you play that track, and just maybe you can too... two heads are better than one.
But, I gotta put 90% of my time into Philly, the track I know far more about than any other.

YOU can start looking forward to a nice Spring; miss the fresh smell of grass and plants down here but sho don't miss them winters. Specially this last one you guys just went through... UGH
