And any other New Orleans, Alabama, Miss., soon to be Fla. Coast. Being that BP is pretty much censoring the MSM, what is the mental state of the residents ? Everytime I see this shit on TV, I can't take it, I get pissed. Someone had suggested a smiley launching an "EMPTY" beer bottle through the TV, don't want alcohol abuse, I think we need a smiley shooting up an oil drum with BP logos on it?

Did you see the report with a LSU Prof who said a hurricane could help the disaster? I'm trying to picture that? He said it would help with the dispersion and let natures bacteria take place. Not if that oil is picked up and swirls around and dropped on the population and into the water supply and peoples crops !

I am a bit lost on this. Let us forget the fact that they should never have "Drilled baby Drilled" without knowing how to stop a possible disaster. But after it happened? Yes, BP and our friends from Haliburten could not stop the leak. But shouldn't the Government had stepped in when it was obvious the oil crooks didn't have a clue? I am not saying the Gov't knew but at least they should have been in charge. I dunno. I am in shock that we as Americans let something like this happpen. It seems to me that over the past 9 or 10 years our government has been doing everything it can to give our country away.

Yes,

BP did put the cart before the horse on this and they certainly at fault for not having an
"Oh Shit plan"

I am trying to gauge the mood of the locals, I know I am furious at this whole jug fuck. What's next for New Orleans, selling them back to France?

But in a situation like this. Something of this magnatude. In my opinion that is why we have government. They are supposed to protect us from the greedy scondrels from within. They were just allowed to Drill Baby Drill without a working "Oh shit" plan? I can't even imagine anything as crooked as that happening in America.

My fingers are crossed. I too stopped listening to local talk radio b/c I can't take it. I don't watch national news anyway. O has done nothing more than sell his soul to big oil.. BP is playing games.

Cheese looks bad for me. My wife is on top of the hurricane list at her hospital, so all of my summer vacation plans are in limbo. We just found this out 2 weeks ago, which hit us like a ton of bricks.

My buddy LAburns (posts on this site also)and his wife are going for sure, as well as a buddy of ours from Chicago. I still have the time off, so a glimmer of hope exists. Burns is good people, and if out there I would recommend you guys meet up along the way. He is going via the SCI-arranged trip, and like you is staying at the Monaco...

Hope you can make it to the shows. Hurricane season forcast looks scary. We live in Tampa, so we pay attention to these silly forcasts. We have a 5 month old daughter, so wife will not travel yet. She has given me a pass to go to SCI with a few friends. Would love to toast one with you and LABurns.:SIB
