Ohio State and ND are always in or around the top 10 and Michigan was when Carr was around. Penn State is sporadic, but will show up in the top 10 every other year.
It's shifted south but those schools will be fine for the forseeable future
and for the last 5 years I hear that reply,,
these schools are no major players ..
not plain and simple and not major players
do not contend year in and year out ..

Minn...might as well not even field a football team..suck year end and year out for the last 50 .
Notre Dame...the excuses not even sound good anymore..just like Mich. now..second rate job..continue down the path of thinking a mega quality coach will take the job..hell they can't even get a bonifide QB to attend.
Va. Tech..cold as onions in those hills must over-rated football program in the last 15 years.

West Va. over..done..miracle worker got away..#36 in the country..might as well be 76 doesn't matter..you are either in the top 5 at the end or you are just another football team.

The kids have figured out they have a about 12 warmn climate schools to choose from..and when the player just a little better than him picks one then he picks another if at the same position.
Furthermore they get together and discuss collectable as to were to go so as to hang out together before it's time to say bye bye to the farm sysTem that is NCAA FOOTBALL.
I'm waiting on the day the likes of Neb...Penn St... ND...Va. Tech...Tenn. etc..etc..etc..can be considered serious contender to a BCS Title instead of the sisters of the poor they are ...every year now we see the same team given that early nod of contenders because they are who they supposedly are..well guess what ...they still do not contend..and they are still a push me up the polls somebody who is really nobody..
WHY...because the absolute blue chip faster and bigger than a truck players do not collectively go there.
They will get better..ok...well will get has turned into folklore..
