Dear Lucena:
Sorry for the sarcastic remark earlier. Let me respond to your questions in a truthful and frank manner as I have in my 2,312 other posts.
CVG is located in Northern Kentucky about a 10-15 minute car/taxi ride south of downtown Cincinnati which lies on the north bank of the Ohio River. If your going right from the airport to the ballpark, grab a cab, no problem.
Great American Ball Park is located in downtown Cincinnati. As far as retro parks go, I'd give it a C-. Jake in Cleveland, Coors field in Denver (two I've been to) much better with more character. GABP rather stark, kinda like Cincinnati.
Don't get me wrong, Cincinnati, physically, is a very pretty city. As your driving north on I-75 toward downtown, you'll get quite a nice view. It's just that the town is run by some of the most back water former Nazi heirarchy.
I think thats why Bush was invited to throw out the first ball here tomorrow. It's probably one of the few towns the moron will get a standing ovation. Thats why this town is embarassing. Sorry had to get my political shot in somewhere.
I was going to offer you a deal on my tickets which are right behind the diamond seats but I think you will be quite satisfied. I believe those are around $200 a pop. Have a good time. Hope the weather holds.
I'll be there Thursday night. We are playing some Triple AAA club called the Pirates I think. They picked up some Reds cast off called Casey or something like that. Should be fun to watch those western Pennsylvanniian Amish kick the ball around the field while sipping a few cold ones. If your in town on Thursday, get my email from Jack so I can enlighten you further and you can buy me a free beer which you will be receiving in the Diamond seats.
By the way Ctown. Get a life.
Eddie
