Cincy (-6) over Xaiver

The Bearcats are embarassed at home by Charlotte's 86-83 win on Saturday. Huggins should have the boys up and ready to take on XU:director: ! I'm not a bearcats fan but I do know they have more talent than Xaiver. Jason Maxiell, Eric Hicks, and Kareem Johnson are all big leapers and IMO have a rebounding edge on XU. After all the Musketeers leading rebounder is guard Romain Sato.

Xaiver is coming off 3 straight losses to Richmond, G. Wash and Dayton. Sato and Chalmers are part of Xavier's three-guard starting lineup along with Dedrick Finn (All 3 average 30+ min per game), who is averaging 9.2 points and a team-high 4.4 assists. All three are shooting below 41 percent from the field. :nooo:

Look for a more skilled Cincy team to force tempo and run Xaiver. Poor shooting will hurt Xaiver during this game. However the musketeers are good at home and play with the crowds energy. If the Bearcats get out early and take the crowd out of the game it should be an easy cover.

More info

Cincinnati, which ranked near or at the bottom of Conference
USA in steals over the past two seasons, has made a dramatic reversal this year. UC is averaging 9.6 thefts per game this year, a healthy increase over last season?s average of 5.2. Cincinnati is converting a number of those thefts into points. UC is averaging 23.8 points per game off turnovers.

Cincinnati has held its foes to .380 shooting from the field.
UC has held eight opponents to sub-.400 shooting and two
under the .300 mark. The Bearcats are No. 9 nationally in
field goal percentage defense in the most recent NCAA stats
(Jan. 26).

Xavier, which averages 12.2 turnovers per game, is forcing opponents into 15.3 turnovers per game. Xavier has 142 assists and 108 turnovers (1.31-to-1.00 assist-to-turnover ratio) in its 10 wins and has 97 assists and 123 turnovers (0.79-to-1.00 assist-to-turnover ratio) in its nine losses. Xavier is averaging 10.8
turnovers when it wins and 13.7 turnovers when it loses.

Just a little more bathroom reading for those on the fence about the game. This TO info makes me feel better about Cincy (-6).
