does the tampa 3 mean the third game of your chase or game 3 of the series. Just checking because there are only two games in the series. Sorry about the dumb questions, lost too many brain cells during high school and college.
thx

3rd game of the chase. Even though I'm just starting in here I have to keep the record straight.

Series play means nothing in the chase.

VEGASKILLER-
When are you going to post your picks?
If I remember correctly you won a lot more than you lost.

You'll get it when you lose. You'l be crapping your pants when you get to a game 3 or 4 and you have 25-40 units on the line. :scared

Re: Mets 'play on' it's OK that technically one of Atls. road Dogs was actually -101? Is there some sort of + or - in close ones? :SIB

well, they were the dog that day with philly being -107.

The original rule for this chase was that all of the games had to be either -110 for a fav or +110 for a dog. I just want to see how it works out this way. In this senario tampa bay would be a game 2 as they had one game at -108.

Right - i didn't even consider the other team wud be the Fav w/ a -101 - got it.

I've been lurking for a couple weeks with your threads. Am interested in following this chase - but as a newbie to cahses could you give be a '101' to chases in general and to your's specifically. I think I get the maj. of it but not completely - esp in terms of units to wager and exactly how you follow it. My interp. is that when a team is at your spot H/R Fav aft3 cons losses - u bet 'on' the next 4 games this team plays and w/ Hdg/Rdg u bet against the team for 4 games in a row once they 'arrive' @ 3 wins in a row. Is this it or am I totally 'out to lunch' THX

RD (bet against after winning three in a row)
RF (bet on after losing three in a row)
HD (bet against after winning three in a row)
HF (bet on after losing three in a row)

If you are going to play a chase system consider how much you're willing to lose.

What I play for each unit is irrelevant. It is based on a percentage of your bankroll.
Let's say a busted chase of four games loses you 30 units. How much of a percentage of your bankroll do you want to lose? 75%? 50%? 25%?
That's up to you.

Let's say you are willing to risk 25% of your bankroll as an example:

Bankroll: $1000
Bankroll willing to lose on a busted chase: $250

Take 250 and divide that by 30 which is the avg. units lost on a losing chase.

To be on the conservative side, use 40 units as a benchmark. 250/40= $6.25 per unit.

Thanks Cisco - I'm goin to study up on this a bit and employ a friends help that has has significant experience w/ chases :box2:
