glad to see that you added Kashmir--about the best drumming that I've ever heard.
Dust in the Wind is by Kansas...might be a Scorpions version but I know their catalogue pretty good and don't recall one. Check out the Scorps disc Lonesome Crow, circa 1972--with Michael Schenker before he left to join UFO.
Speaking of UFO, Rock Bottom kicks ass.
Some more that I don't think I spotted anywhere:
AC-DC Spellbound
Aerosmith Lord of the Thighs
Allman Bros Whipping Post
America A Horse With No Name
Animals House of the Rising Sun
Beatles anything off of Abbey Road
Black Sabbath Warning or War Pigs
Blue Oyster Cult Before the Kiss, A Redcap (also dig the Vigil and Golden Age of Leather)
Bowie Space Oddity or Suffragette City
BTO Not Fragile
this will take me forever...lookin' at my HD
some more Zeppelin would be cool, Yes' Roundabout, and the Doors When the Music's Over.
I've got at least a thousand favoriites.
Check out some Blind Faith.
Somewhere I started a thread about music. I was going through alphabetically. Think I got to about L before taking a hiatus. Might try to bump it up if I can find it. Was kinda cool--I was pasting a bunch of album covers in the thread as I was going along. Some others turned me on to a few good artists. Was how I learned about Joe Bonamassa--check him out if you're into the heavier blues-type stuff. He does a cool version of Zep's Tea For One. I also really dig his track Pain and Sorrow. Some 20-minute live versions of that baby out there.
I might go over this thread again. Probably some stuff mentioned that I need myself. Will add if (inevitably) more comes to mind. For now, time to munch so I can hit the brews already. Other sustenance is coming tomorrow and I can't seem to wipe the grin off of my face in anticipation.
Also, Young's After the Gold Rush, which you added, is one of the saddest songs that I know of. Guess it has some personal meaning to me.
Rock On!
