What's w/ the huge line here. Home field advantage for CLE, and NYY have to face Sabathia twice:scared I'll bite on the +170 series line. GL:weed:

Yanks may beat Tribe, but I would never lay the chalk on them doing so. Only the Yanks with their following could be huge chalk in just about all playoff series despite not actually winning the World Series in several years.

Go CLE

Go CLE

Cleveland should be favored in this series with the far superior pitching. The bats of the yanks may pull off 1 or even 2, but not enough to win the series.

Pick the tribe with a huge value play
Cle +175

yanks are 6-0 vs cleveland this year. i'm going with the yanks in 4. I don't see cleveland doing much, probably winning 1 at home and losing both on the road. good luck though.

I think the chalk has to so with the reg season record. I think yanks were 6-0 against the tribe this season.
May want to check on this.

This is a bad bet and im not saying this because we disagree on everything. Everything you said was correct about the line being high. Cleveland had the better record so why in the world would the Yankees be a 2 to 1 favorite? You will see why in about six games. I wouldn't trust Clevelands second pitcher in a high pressure game. Just don't trust him. Books set this line high for a reason and it was to limit Yankee money. Its that simple.

This post makes plenty of sense.

I use this type of reasoning in betting nccafb; maybe that's why that's the only sport I regularly turn a profit in:shrug: You see, we don't disagree on everything;)

why would they want to limit yankee money ? ??? in the 2003 ws yanks lost : -175,-155,-155, they get closed out against bos the netx yr : -165-, -137 -133... 2005 lost @ -250...... last yr lost @ -227,-150, -123........... The yankees are a books best friend, there are people that bet them every day, even if they win 60% of the time they lose. House wins with the yanks every yr.
