It is funny, I said much of the same Sat. nite. I understand getting all over him, but do it once and let it go. He berates him coming off the field, then goes to the bench, goes back, and after UNC scores, he goes back AGAIN - ENOUGH! We get it, the kid gets it, and the team gets it. All he did was to make sure everyone knew that he as a coach bore no responsibility for the mistake and that it was ALL on the punter. That is EXACTLY what a coach is NOT supposed to do.

Totally agree Blaster. Not to mention he is a wind bag. Interviews right after game and the next day he would take two to three minutes to answer each question! Most coaches are quick and consice when answering questions. What an idiot! Boomer Sooner!!!!!

I think there was a pretty good chance the punt could've been blocked if he would've tried to kick it. The defender was at the edge of the Dr Pepper logo and the punter doesn't kick it traditionally (runs right and rugby style). Not the best angle from the attached video but wouldn't running be better than having the punt blocked?:shrug:

I don't know, that gif image is possibly misleading, it is playing at a faster than normal speed which makes the rush look faster.
I think the complaint against Dabo is valid, he continued to berate the kicker well after the play and then at halftime made it clear to the reporter that the kicker did it on his own. Dabo could have been much more stand up and just moved on.

Punter messed up, Dabo got on him, that's fine. I'd rather have my kids coached hard than not at all. The issue most of us have is he kept going back. I coach my kids teams, I get on them, but I'm not gonna keep going back at them. Don't even do it to my own, and I'm harder on him than you can imagine. Still think Dabo is a clown, and I've never seen Saban do that, at least not on the sideline during a game. Just see him explode, get it out.....then done.
