I have been lurking for years and have made a few posts here and there but I wanted to put my two cents in for tonite's game.
I really like Clemson +5.5 (not homer play). I actually bet against the Tigers more often than for, but this game has been played very close the past 10 years with a couple of exceptions.
Clemson played the option pretty well last year, albeit with a different DC, and we returned most starters from a good, not great defense this year. I don't there are alot of new wrinkles in the GT offense, other than a little more efficint passing game.
I was at the Clemson game against MTSU and we didn't look that good on offense. The O line did not look any better than last year, but I am hoping we make improvements from week 1 to week 2, as is the case for most offensive teams. IMO we will win the special teams battle.
All being said, these are just my opinions and I look for Clemson to cover the 5.5 but problably lose 21-17. With our record on Thursday nights they cannot win outright on ESPN can they?
Good luck to all!!!!!!
