I like this play for several reasons:

1) NYY has lit up Sabathia this year

2) 4 of Mussina's last 5, and 6 of his last 8, starts have seen him give up at least 3 runs, and history indicates struggles against Cleveland (losing overall record, with an ERA near 5)

3) Anticipate NY bats responding off of last night's relative struggles (obviously, this more gut feel than anything)

4) Bullpen usage may point to starters used longer, and I anticipate them getting hit - is bullpen available and ready to put out any rallies?

5) Umpire shows 6 overs in last 9

Let's try a few more totals for tonight and see if we can have the same luck:

I wholeheartedly agree with IE that Houston/AZ goes over the total -- Houston bats warming up + poor start from Elarton equals over in my book.

I also like TX/Ana under the total -- Davis' ERA is 2+ in June, and Washburn is a young pitcher I like a lot. Neither team's bats have done a lot lately, which leads me to play under the total here.
