I agree, with first base open and the guy hitting is the only guy getting hits, walk him and face Larkin instead!!

Get a grip

Get a grip

Baez has pitched well in the last month shaving nearly 2 points off of his era and saving 6 0r 7 games in a row. Why dont you try developing a young team and going through growing pains without pulling you hair out. Better yet don't gamble your money on a team full of rookies.

I was so looking forward to a 3-0 afternoon. Honestly I wish Cle wouldn't have come back to take the lead in the seventh. Hate losing games by stupidity.

I took the loss on Cleveland as well. Tough loss, but that's baseball for ya. Most managers go by the book way too much...they're afraid not to. Baez is the closer, so 99% of the time he's coming in when the situation calls for the closer. I don't agree either, but that's the way it is. Seems like Baez is either lights out or gives it up....not much in between. Accept the loss and move on...you can't change it now.

Stewy....Don't bet on a team full of rookies? Not sure if that's a fair statement. Think there was plenty of value in the tribe today. If the same match-up was tomorrow, I'd be on the Tribe again. Just keep in mind, the best team doesn't always win and sometime's the right play doesn't always cash. Just don't let it influence you in the future.

ndnfan- yeah you're right....he is their closer and the situation did call for him.....just irritated when riske slayed them in the 8th and he hands it over to baez who has A job....and that job and one and only job is to shut them down.....the end....no excuses....this is the major leagues and thats why you're labeled a closer....anyway thats the breaks and i've been screwed a few times this season on the right side of plays late in games....and also becuz on april 22 i went to the mariner/clev game in seattle and watched clev scrap from being down 3-1 to taking the lead 5-3 in the 9th.....only to see my good buddy baez come in to "close it out" and watched him give up 5 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks and 1 dinger and didnt record an out....this after sabathia & mullholland held sea to 3 runs on 8 hits thru 8 innings.....i dont know maybe baez is not the guy to be closing:shrug:
