C.C. Sabathia (L)
4.37 ERA; 6 - 2 in 13 starts
1.83 ERA last three starts

At the age of 20 . . . that's right, 20 . . . CC Sabathia is giving the Cleveland Indians more than their money's worth this year as a rookie in the majors.

Sabathia graduated from high school in Vallejo California where he had a .77 ERA and was undefeated during his senior year. He split the 2000 season between A Kinston and AA Akron and posted a combined ERA of 3.57 (146.1IP, 58ER) in 27 starts over the two stops while striking out a Tribe minor league best 159 batters.

Today he faces a Kansas City Royal team that he has handled easily two times this year . . . winning each game by a four run margin.

Cleveland is 6 - 1 on the road when Sabathia has started this year and 8 - 3 on Fridays. Kansas City is 0 - 10 on Fridays.

While Sabathia isn't old enough to drink . . . he can smoke . . . and that is what the Royals are going to see tonight.

I'm playing Cleveland -160 . . . but then again . . . I'm Never Caught Up.

I am also on Cleveland in this one..... I love C.C. Sabathia as well, but the main reason I played it is the prospect of Paul Byrd and a really bad KC Royals bullpen facing.....

Thome, Alomar, Vizquel, Branyan, Burks, Cordova, and Gonzalez....... OUCH

Let's cash this ticket,

inside your head
I remember reading similar posts on Sunday when Cle lost to Pit 1-0. I like Cle to win, however I am scared sh*&less to play cause it looks tooooo easy.

I will be rooting for you all and probably kick myself in the but when they win, just know I've saved a lot of shock/grief/$$$ by staying away from the 'lay-ups'

I posted it as my POD as well, but that doesn't mean much. I was so hard headed back in April and May that I refused to lay odds and after losing about 20 dogs in a row I finally came around. Unfortunately, I am so deep in the POD hole I can never catch up. (grin)
