sabathia was absolutely untouchable. knew the game would swing when they turned it over to jimenez and the clowns in the bullpen. i think sabathia gave up 2 hits, 0 runs, and 9 Ks. yet he wont get the win.

jm:

I feel your pain. Won the Royals, lost the Indians. They were saving C.C. for what?

They were saving C.C. for what?
they were saving him for the rest of the season,
7 innings with 104 pitches is good for his 1st start
of the year.

Coaching, Coaching, Coaching, no one ever caps coaches. Let's see we're in the eighth and no-one's hit CC since the 1st innning, so let's pull him and hope the BP can hold a 4 run lead. Your on the rd. with a pitcher who is dominating the opponent and you pull him out, bc he has a pitch count to go by. That's what seperates the bad coaching from the guys who take their teams to the playoffs every yr.

So now we've made the move to bring in Jimenez ( who I might add is a ground ball pitcher with a nice sinker) who promptly walks the 1st guy and the next shoots a ground ball up the middle for a base hit. He gets another ground ball out to set up men on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. So instead of playing into the strength of his reliever and walking the bases loaded to set up a GB DP he pulls him for Stewart whose only thrown about 5 min in the BP and the rest is history.

Just something to think about when hitting the PLACE BET button!!

A few more managers to add to the List

A few more managers to add to the List

Mach1, I couldn't agree more. It was frustrating watching the late game with the clown that manages Texas and add Williams with the Astros to the list. IMO poor decisions by the managers will continue to cost those teams as it did all last year.

My 1st and only play was Cleveland. Sux to already be whining about a bullpen on the 1st day of the season, tough loss. Oh well its a long season so gotta forget it. Gl to all today..

managing

managing

couldnt agree more about the comment with regards to managing. Im a huge tribe fan, and i realize that its a long season and u dont want to wear your pitcher out in the first game of the year. However, the guy is in the middle of a 2 hitter and he hasnt given up a hit since the 1st inning, i mean come on. That is horrible managing and u should not take a guy out in the middle of a 2 hitter and a no hitter thorugh his last 6 that is just foolish. Horrible managing by a young manager, we will see how he does this year. There are some guys on this team who can play ball, but if he cant figure out how to manage them we could be in for a longer season than anticpated
