1 unit....tribe/royals under 10.5

the tendency might be to look at the over in this one since both clubs are throwing young kids out on the mound but ive always believed that the pitchers hold the initial edge over the hitters when a young hurler is starting out. neither team really has a book on how to approach either lee or voyles; its going to take a few times through the order for hitters to get to these kids imo. i was really impressed with cliff lee for the tribe at the end of last year when he had his september call-up. he is very composed on the mound and while he's not at all overpowering, he just knows how to pitch and i think he'll do well in this spot. 5-3 game one way or the other makes sense here.

gman2, I agree with your thinking that the new pitchers have the edge. However I don't see either 1 of these 2 going 6 innings. And that means you get the bullpens involved.
Clev. 4.71 era on the road
KC 6.27 era at home.

Not doubting you just my opinion. I have lost 4 bets the last 2 days because of chitty bullpen work.

adding:

atlanta/florida under 8

always liked redman dating back to his detroit days. he always seems to keep his team in the game. florida coming off a series in which their pitching staff was blasted. fish need innings from redman in a big way and he should be able to give them a quality start. maddux should keep the fish bats in check too.

heres hoping atlanta wins 6-1 then, lol.

im not a big stat guy, but i think i did hear about the braves success vs lefties. definitely worth noting, youre right.

im going purely off memory with this- but atlanta/florida series always seems to be filled a plethora of pitchers duels. we'll see. gl man
