Jabberwocky,

If you have no handicapping skills, what makes you think the Clippers take this one?

Why put money at risk if you have nothing more than a hunch?

I can understand a coupla' bucks just for the action, but anything more than that...

Jabberwocky,

This is only an opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but I think the Lakers need this game a lot more than the Clippers do. The Clippers are currently fifth, which means they would get the Mavs in the first round. If they fall back to the 6th seed they would get the Nuggs in the first round. I have to think they would much rather play the Nuggets, a team with a worse record than them, over the Mavs who could make a legitimate run at the title. They are 3-1 vs. Denver this year, with two of those wins being blowouts, and 0-2 vs. the Mavs. I'm not saying they will lay down but I also think that they know where they are in the seedings, and I'm sure they who know their opponents could be. Good luck...

To be honest this game is a flip of a coin.

I really don't know who is going to win this game.

I think Brand is going to have a monster game tho.

I know this may be a dumb question with the whole hometown pride and all, but do you think the Clips even want to win? Well, let me rephrase that... do you think they realize that they could ultimately screw themselves if they win games down the stretch? I just envision a scenario where Dallas beats their asses in the first round and everyone looks back and says... "you know, if they would have finished sixth maybe they could have gotten out of the first round." Maybe I'm way off, but the Nuggets seem like a much easier draw than Dallas. Thoughts?

Cassells 2nd game back off layoff. He may be more in the groove. With all due respect, once the ball is tipped the Lakers aren't thinking about their playoff position. I'd be on the Clipps but I don't understand the line Vegas has in this one.

You could be right. That's why I said earlier that they might be too dumb to even realize that they are screwing themselves by winning games down the stretch. Like I said I don't expect them to lay down because I'm sure they want to win, but if I was Dunleavy I would have some "interesting" substition patterns from here on out.
