Speaking from my midwestern roots, I loved these ladies, and thought the CNN talking heads did a pretty good job interacting with them on a fairly respectful level. I'd rather have them adding up votes than some of the supposed "braintrust" candidates in some of the areas that have had problems in past elections.

But, I understand your point, more or less.
