Movie of the Day: Moon Over Parador (1988)- An American actor gets an acting gig in South America, then gets hired to stand in for the country’s dictator, when the dictator dies in real life. Can the actor and dictator’s mistress change Parador?
Richard Dreyfuss is the actor, Sonia Braga is the mistress, Raul Julia plays the dictator’s right hand man. Jonathan Winters has a strange role as a spy of some kind.
This is a funny movie, a weirder version of Dave, when Kevin Kline stands in as the President when he has a stroke.
