The Brewers hope they're celebrating a playoff berth after Sunday's road game against the Cardinals. Both teams have yet to clinch postseason spots, heading into the last day of the regular season.

MLB betting odds are on the board for what?s shaping up to be a wild 15-game Sunday schedule, with playoff bids and seeding still on the line in the NL. Every game starts between 3:05 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. ET. The Milwaukee Brewers-St. Louis Cardinals tilt is the most noteworthy, as the game will impact both teams? fortunes.

Multiple oddsmakers provided insights on MLB opening lines and early line movement, sharp money and public betting for Sunday?s games.

MLB line movement

Milwaukee had to win Saturday in St. Louis, and did so 3-0, setting up a huge 3:15 pm. ET clash Sunday at Busch Stadium. The Brewers are in eighth place, tied with the San Francisco Giants but for the moment holding the tiebreaker edge. The Cardinals are in fifth place but still not guaranteed a postseason bid, such is the craziness right now.

Most books held off Saturday night on posting a line for this game, so check back Sunday.

The aforementioned Giants went into Saturday with a playoff spot and exited without one, losing 6-2 at home to the San Diego Padres. Now, San Francisco must win Sunday?s 3:05 p.m. ET tilt and get some help. This line also wasn?t posted Saturday night.

The Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins are both in the playoffs, but seeding could still be impacted by their 3:10 p.m. ET meeting. Once again, this line isn?t on the board, as oddsmakers worked Saturday night to get a grip on all the scenarios.

5) Lakers-Heat NBA final is first time ever the NBA final is between two teams who both missed the playoffs the year before.

4) 5th-seeded Miami is lowest-seeded NBA team to make the finals since the 1995 Rockets, who beat Orlando in the finals that year.

3) If Seattle has a WNBA team, why can?t they have an NBA team? One of the great injustices in pro sports history was Seattle losing the SuperSonics- they supported the team, but they refused to build a new arena they didn?t need, so the league took their team away.

12 years later, Seattle has a new arena (they?re getting an NHL team); next time an NBA team needs to move, Seattle should be the first option.

2) Surprising news: LA Clippers told coach Doc Rivers to take a hike after seven years; Clippers lost to Denver in the playoffs, blowing a 3-1 series, when they led by 10+ points in each of those last three losses.

Rivers had a 356-208 regular season record with the Clippers , was 27-32 in playoff games; he won the 2008 NBA title coaching Boston. If he still wants to coach, he won?t be unemployed for long.
