not sure if the week 15 game in detroit would count. what's the situation with the retractable roof? would they close it for cold weather? ( i would think ) or just bad weather ( snow, rain ). my guess is cold as well, so the game against tb would be indoors?

There's no way the roof in Detroit will be open for week 15. I wasn't even aware it was retractable. If it is, don't look for it to be open any more this year.

good work------when it comes to totals i always write yours down and watch the line and make sure i take a hard look...do not have results of your record--just seemed like you took it serious and not just posted random games---again great stuff.

2 qualifiers this week: Kansas City over Arizona and Buffalo over Miami.

I saw an interesting explanation from a player's point of view on playing in the cold. It was Eric Davis of the Lions, who played with Carolina a few years back when they played the Packers in the NFC Championship game in the frigid cold. Davis basically said that if you aren't acclimated to it (extreme cold) its almost impossible to adjust within a day or 2 and that the fast-twitch muscle fibers (the ones responsible for producing speed) are useless. This may help explain why teams that can run the ball and stop the run do very well late in the year in the cold.
