what indicators have you seen or heard to think this?
he can't go any higher in the food chain there I would think..
he is not a "Suit"...and has stated so man many times..
while he has play by play and "color commentary" experience it is hardly his forte'
Dan Patrick owns the talk show w/TV genre with a "Master Lock" so hardly any room there unless someone wants to risk big big dollars to try to unplant Dan Patrick..

ESPN coveted CC real hard ...and I imagine the dollar savy Cowherd has a very generous buy out of his contract
Just the way he's been talking lately, Old School. He took the snippet out of his morning first 1/2 hr of his show and he's been talking a lot about loyalty and how other talk show guys have made big changes, money, etc., and now he's talking about getting out of his football talk show, last weekend he wasn't there, Waddell ran the show with the know it all, Coachman former rassler. He's brought up gambling a lot more of late and some of those shows would pay him a lot more money with less time on the air, than his 3 hr show for ESPNU, ESPN radio. He's also appearing to have lost even more weight and hair of late, I know it's the aging effect, but how he talks just ain't how he normally sounds on his shows.
I can remember when Chris Berman, the other Chris that does the Saturday morning College Show now, and a few other ESPN folks, just need the 1 hour pieces on Sports News and, now both do ABC televised games, ESPN post-season stuff, etc. I don't think Colin is happy, it could be a personal thing he's going through at home or just changes in ESPN, I'm not sure. He just doesn't sound right. It could just be me though.
