Strarted the season out with a winner on the UNDER in the first game. Right now I am going to list all of the games I have strong opinions on...these games I am entering into a contest that I'm doing every week so you have to pick a lot of games. I DO NOT have money on any of these yet, but I will post later on the one's that I do have money on. These games here are pretty much just as important as they are the picks for my contest.....here we go!!!

E.Michigan -6 (Line is way off!)
Utah -9 (Lay the wood here! Don't get fooled)
Boston College -17
TCU -7.5
N.Mexico +1.5 (Nice revenge spot here)
Air Force +13
Iowa -29.5
Cincinnatti +17 (Could win outright!!!!!)
Miami Ohio +15.5
Vanderbilt +4.5
Auburn -38
Rutgers +6.5 (Another that could win the game)
Penn St. -15.5
UCLA -1
Wake Forest +11.5
Troy St. +14
N.Illinois +14
Duke +7.5
N.Mexico St. +20
N.Texas +26
W.Virginia -28
Florida -28
Tulane +6
Colorado -6
Baylor +14
Minnesota -11
Indiana -14 (Shockingly I like this!)
Memphis +3 (Wrong team favored here)
Kansas -3 (LOVE THIS PLAY!!!)
Texas Tech -24
Houston -3 (Another NICE PLAY!!)
Idaho +32 (Wayyyy tooo many points)
Notre Dame -4 (Love this play as well!!!)
Stanford -17
Tennessee -20
Louisville -8.5
Miami Fla -2
Louis.Tech -4.5

Well, obvioulsy I won't hit all of these or I should be in the book of records, but what I'm looking for is a high percentage of wins for my contest. We'll see how it goes and if I get my ass kicked then I'll stick to just posting my actual plays I am rating with units. Will probably post Friday with the games I put money on...GL! FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Getting this one in NOW as an actual play!! I rate my plays 1-5 units in football.

YTD: 1-0

3* Cincinatti +16

*Get this one asap as the line is dropping. This team has an excellent chance at the outright upset here. Cincy QB is a gamer and the coach will have this team prepared.*

Putting in a few more now:

3* N.Illinois +14.5

*Terps should win the game, but feel it'll be MUCH closer than the line is.*

3* Rutgers +6

*Feel you won't even need the points here. If they can get the "W" in this game they could possibly start the season out 3-0 going to Syracuse.*

3* UCLA pck'm

*Cowboys lost too much and have a history of starting out slow. I'll take the home team here.*

3* Fresno St. +3

2* Idaho +31

*This team has its first FIVE games ON THE ROAD this year. If they get blown out here, it could be a long season right off the bat. Way too many points here I feel. What? Is this the Boise St. from last year? Don't think so.*

1* Houston -3 -120
1* Notre Dame -4.5

i hate ohio state more than anyone but after the scare cincinnati put into osu 2 yrs ago, theres no way the bucks are taking this game lightly. ohio state's offense is always a question mark but im not sure if cincinnati scores more than 7 points in this game so you better hope osu scores < 20. the osu defense could be even better than the last two editions. their speed at linebacker is ridiculous. bearcats not sneaking up on osu this time around. i think this one gets ugly. but ill never lay DD with ohio state.

g....sounds like you think the under may be worth a look....44 seems generous to an outsider to ohio football.....

what do you think?...

weasel:

yes, i do think the under is a good play. in fact, theres a good chance i will play it since it is based on the same principle of an ohio state play, yet i wont have to lay DD chalk.

at least for the first part of the season, ohio state is (again) going to win with defense and i think we'll see some typical osu "grinders". theyre not the most aesthetically pleasing team, but i gotta give them credit where its due -- its damn near impossible to run the ball on them and their defense dictates the pace of the game.

also- cant be overlooked that osu is breaking in a young quarterback (albeit an extremely talented, cant-miss kind of prospect in zwick) but i do not see tressel letting him throw the ball very much at all the first few games, especially with question marks on the offensive line. no sense in trying to get the kid killed.

the meeting 2 yrs ago was a 23-19 final. i think this one will be under 40 points. ohio state 31-7 or thereabouts sounds about right. i just dont see cincy doing much now that osu is ready for their in-state little brother. then again- first game of the season is always a crap shoot and rarely crisp (as usc showed last week)

Cincy's QB Guiduigli is a total gamer at his position and I'm very much expecting him to NOT just put 7 points on the board. He's a senior this year with a lot more experience, so hopefully that cuts down on his INT's. I also highly dought that Cincy's coach is going to have his team go in there and not play competitive with the Buckeyes since that's his x team from last year. I know Ohio St. "D" is VERY good at home, so if they do end up totally shutting Cincy's offense down, then I tip my hat to them. I just think it's too many points here and Ohio St. wins by 7-10 pts. But, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Cincy go in there and steal one. You do make a good point about Cincy not sneaking up on them this time around, but the "coach" for Cincy has got to play huge motivation for his team in this game.

i dont expect cincy to go in and roll over for ohio state. theyre going to go in with the mindset of trying to win the game and pull the upset since they came close 2 yrs ago. ohio state has always gone through the motions vs. in-state teams because none of the in-staters have realistic shots to win. cincy got osu's attention and i think that the osu defense is going to harrass the shit out of an interception-prone guiduigli. we'll see how it plays out. im probably gonna play the under, so lets hope for a tight, ugly game. good luck with eastern michigan- i think they win by 10+

*I know I took Miami O in the contest picks, but really found some good info to put a little on Mich today.*

1* Temple +16

Forgot one:

2* Memphis +3.5

*Strongly feel the wrong team is favored here. Basically the spread is telling you Ole Miss is favored because of home field. The Tigers might even be better than last year with a ton of returning starters...that's scary! They are loaded again and should overcome the home field factor and come out on top today!*

Should be it!!! GL!

I'm 4-5 -1 unit on my personal plays so far going into Sunday. Contest picks were a disappointment. Probably the last time I post those. I am upgrading one play for Sunday:

5* Fresno St.

*I know the line has moved a little since I posted this pick earlier in the week, but still very much like the Bulldogs to get the outright win today.*

GL! Looking to profit Sunday and come out ahead in the first weekend of college action!!
