Today?s plays:

TCU/UCLA Over 10 for 3 units ? Two very good pitchers going, but in what should be a highly intense game I believe some offense will be coming through. Add in a bit of wind blowing out to left and a very hot day at Rosenblatt, that will help the cause.

Clemson -115 (vs. S. Carolina) for 5 units ? no listed starters yet for either team, but I fully expect Casey Harmann to go for Clemson. No point in saving him for the possible Saturday game, as if you do you may not get to use him in the championship game. I?ve been hard on Clemson?s pitching, but the extra day rest will be big and getting to throw their #1 guy against whomever the Gamecocks send to the hill, a really big plus. Also USC?s best bullpen guy (Price) went for 50 pitches in last night?s game vs. Oklahoma, so I would be surprised to see him again. And if he does show, likely won?t be as solid.

I dont think Clemson will be throwing Harmen on 3days rest. They will probably save Harmen until tomorrow if needed...if not he will be ready to go game 1 of the CWS championship. The lack of pitching in this game due to both teams having to throw number 3's or go by a pitcher by comittee mentality along with how SC had to use Price yesterday has this game looking like OVER material.

Harmann would be throwing on 4 days rest as he pitched on sunday even though the game was finished on monday. If they throw him tomorrow he wouldn't go again until maybe the 3rd game of the championship series which isn't given. I just don't see coach Leggett going that route but I could be wrong

You are right, I apologize as I did make an error as I wasn't recalling the games right. Still like clemson but wouldn't have made it as big, still going with it. Not the first time I've made a mistake and won't be the last. Like your thought on the over possibility in that game.

Also, Gamecock Anthem is reporting that Michael Roth will start for the Gamecocks today. Here are his #s:

Left-handed

1.14 ERA

35 appearances

28 Ks

26.1 IP

.198 BAA

He threw 1.1 innings yesterday against OU. He also threw an inning against OU back on Sunday. He threw an inning in the second game against Coastal. He faced one batter (which he walked) in the first Coastal game. What am I getting at? I don?t think this guy can go more than two innings. He is a lefty specialist from what I can tell.

Clemson does have a lot of lefty bats in their line up but definitly looks like a pitcher by commitee day for the cocks.

I think your lean for Clemson is right(if i were picking a side i would go with them)..and you are basically getting them fairly cheap at -120. I will tell you that this is a huge rivalry game in the state of SC(I live here) and emotions will be running VERY high tonight.

Thanks for that info, roth is a loogy so I'm surprised they are starting him. Likely going to be quite a few pitching changes tonight.

I agree...just booked a play on the over myself. This could end up being a long one tonight...I will be watching on with a gin & tonic in my left hand...cigar in my right...laughing at all of the rhetoric between the Tigger/Cockhead fans.

Wrong, wrong and wrong as I need to lick my wounds after that 0-fer. I think roth heard me call him a loogy and that upset him. Sorry guys, need to sleep this one off.

He's a pussy if loogy offended him. You do what you do, Poon. Noone does College BB like you do, and it should be appreciated more around here. Good luck in your future plays.

Seeing if I can't claw something back today. Ucla is appealing due to their pitching edge but I'm going to stay away from potentially digging into my future play on tcu.

TCU/UCLA Under 10.5 for 3 units

Clem/USC Over 10.5 for 3 units

Clemson -125 (vs. USC) for 4 units, wanted Harmann yesterday and I get him today. Also if my math is right, he's on an extra day of rest than Dyson.

I'm going TCU +145 for 10* - Just like their momentum despite having the weaker SP.

Also, going with Gamecocks +105 for 10* based on the same reason. They were dead in the water against OU, but found a way to win and now have serious momentum IMHO.

monday's game:

UCLA -180 (vs. S. Carolina) for 3 units - will gladly take a fully rested Gerrit Cole over Blake Cooper on 3 days rest (again) or any of the other chooses for USC. Gamecocks best bet would be to hold Cooper back to Tuesday vs. Rasmussen or Claypool of UCLA. If they did that, I believe this series could be pushed to Wednesday.
