Vandy +400 to win CWS for 1 unit ? really think it will be a UVa/Vandy final, and tough to pick between those two. Despite coming out of the ?tougher? bracket, it being this team?s first CWS, and having a losing record against the other 2 Omaha-SEC teams this season, I like the Commodores to win it all. I said early on this year that this team was built to have great success with the new bats and think that is the case.

Florida +350 to be eliminated first for ? unit ? of the three top tier teams, I could foresee the Gators being snake-bitten and going 0-2 for the second straight year. Very talented and deep club, but odder things have happened.

Saturday?s games:

Texas +170 (vs. Fla) for ? unit ? in the Supers I didn?t think Jungmann would have his second straight bad outing, well here?s looking for it not to be 3. Pen?s are both great and big offensive edge goes to the Gators, but there is the often discussed Auggie factor and he doesn?t often head to the loser?s bracket first.

Vandy/UNC Under 9.5 (-120) for 2 units ? should be a good pitcher?s duel to start the CWS off, with Sonny Gray going for Vandy and Patrick Johnson for UNC. Expect small ball execution from the two teams on the offensive side.

Eventhough T. Jungmann took a loss against ASU, I would not call 1 earned run on 3 hits in 7 innings a bad outing. He also has experience at the CWS, winning 3 games there as a frosh. Hook'em Horns!!!

Agree 100% on vandy. Tough to strikeout, best bullpen in the country, great outfield defense. At +300 or +400, great value

Jungmann looks terrible. Walks the 8 and 9 hitters and next inning 2 out walk. He definitley does not look like a first rounder today.

His pitches were all over the place. No control - unlike him - something wrong...maybe a tired arm? Two of his last three starts were sub par. Maybe tomorrow's reports will identify the problem. Definitely something wrong.

for today:

UVa -1.5 (-140) vs. Cal for 1 unit - think the fav in this bracket gets off to a good start against the Bears #2 pitcher.

A&M/USC Under 8 (-120) for 1 unit - wind blowing in today, expect that and some shadows to keep the hitters at bay in a low scoring evening tilt.

Not sure how everyones Florida/Vandy plays were graded last night but at thegreek Florida was given the win and Vandy the loss. I contacted 5dimes and found they still have the game pending. This is the last straw with me for betting on college baseball games with the greek. The $200 limits are bad enough but this just put me over the edge.
