Just got back from the Kent/Kentucky game. Real solid contest that was scoreless through 7. Kent plated 3 in the top of the 8th on a home and the Wildcats got 2 across in the bottom. Kentucky's starter was real impressive through the first 5 innings.

Got to meet RRC as well. Real nice guy and I'm glad we could chat a bit during the game.

Kudos to jbly99..nice call on Kent St.

Mr. Poon...pleasure to meet you and your buddy. We stayed after the game...very cool scene with all the parents coming down to the field to celebrate.

The Goldenflashes are off to Oregon.

didn't get a chance to play anything today. Great Regional hit jbly on Kent.

Went 4-1 on Saturday only missing the S. Carolina play as they won by 1.

Regionals Record: 9-5 for +4.6 units

For Monday:

Ole Miss/TCU Over 7.5 +105 for 2 units ? wouldn?t be surprised if either or both clubs bring back their top pitchers from Friday. However, with short rest and both teams capable of putting up the runs, will take a shot at the over. Slight wind blowing out helps as well.

Stony Brook +1.5 +115 (vs. UCF) for 1 unit ? though I like the Golden Knights as a team, can?t deny the hot bats Stony Brook is swinging. Also I?m guessing UCF will start Brian Adkins who has not fared well down the stretch.

Dallas Baptist +2.5 -145 (vs. Baylor) for 1 unit

Oklahoma/Appy St Over 9.5 -135 for 1 unit ? pitching for both teams falls off dramatically after the starters they have already used.

Nice job as usual, Poon. Gonna tail some of your plays

Will be at game 2 of the Baton Rouge super regional. I'd love to there for game 1, with Gausman on the hill, but our 5-6 baseball schedule does not comply.

Good luck....

thanks for the kind words Cie. Very cool you are getting to at least one of the Super regional games. Will be interesting to see who the visitor is for that series.

For Futures:

Houston Regional ? different fav?s at the different books so put 2 units on Arky +150 (5dimes) and 2 units on Rice +200 (betus).

Raleigh Regional ? ? unit on Vandy +220

Palo Alto Regional ? 1 unit on Stanford -350

2-1 on these for +1.5 units. Vandy just had an epic collapse to lose their regional. Arky and Stanford won their respective regionals.

3-1 on the day as both Overs hit and Stony Brook wins, Dallas Baptist lost by 6 to Baylor.

looking back at my early picks for regional winners I got 10 of the 16. Should have put some coin on my St. John's pick.

Early thoughts of the 8 that will head to Omaha for the College World Series:

Florida
S. Carolina
Kent St.
Arky
UCLA
LSU
Zona
Stanford

Would be 4 SEC schools, 3 Pac-12 schools and Kent St. Doesn't seem likely but those two conferences showed this past weekend their teams were the best. That would make for an interesting CWS with quite a bit of familiarity between the teams.
