YTD Record: 50-35 for +34.40 units

Today?s plays:

UCLA +105 (vs. ASU) for 1 unit ? matchup of top 5 clubs, so hard to find much wrong with ASU. ASU has an edge offensively while UCLA has slight edges in starting pitching and bullpen. Two very good teams, but the home club at a small dog price is attractive for a small play.

GaTech -155 (@ NC St.) for 4 units ? edges across the board for Georgia Tech. NC State is a good offensive team but the Yellow Jackets trump them with one of the most potent lineups in the nation. Big advantage on the mound to as potential All-american Deck McGuire goes for Georgia Tech versus Jack Buchannon of NC State. Buchannon has had a decent season but has been hit hard anytime he has faced a good offense.

Florida -125 (vs. LSU) for 1 unit ? LSU is the better offensive club, but like Florida in this due to the uncertainty of LSU?s pitching. Their ace Anthony Raunado hasn?t been the same since coming back from injury and was lit up for 9 ER in less than 2 IP last week against Ole Miss. Alex Panteliodis is Florida?s starter and isn?t spectacular but experienced enough to keep LSU?s bats mostly in check.

Oklahoma -140 (vs K-State) for 2 units ? Two good offenses here but like Oklahoma?s starting pitching, as well as relief, over Kansas States. Zach Neal (OU?s starter) has 4.05 ERA; 1.13 WHIP; .249 OBA and 58 K?s in 60 IP. Ryan Daniels (Wildcats starter) has a 4.18 ERA; 1.44 WHIP, .319 OBA and 25 K?s in 47 1/3 IP. The fact that Daniels isn?t a power/strike-out pitcher is big as that type of pitcher typically has success against a free-swinging Sooners team.

Not a good day yesterday going 2-2, getting Oklahoma and Florida, but losing UCLA and the big GaTech play.

just these small ones today:

UCLA +110 (vs. ASU) for 1 unit - still feel UCLA has a decent edge on the mound and should even the series.

Oklahoma -175 (vs. K-State) for 1 unit - another pitching edge for the Sooners. K-State sending out another guy who can't get outs consistents via the strikeout and that will hurt them again.

Cal -125 (vs. Oregon St.) for 1 unit - Cal has the much better offense and the better pitcher on the mound today.

1-2 only getting Cal for another losing day. Trying to rebound with these:

UCLA +110 (vs. ASU) for 2 units - UCLA bats have been held in check so far and don't believe they will be swept. I believe UCLA's starter Rob Rasmussen is the best Sunday starter in the nation and think he shows it here.

GaTech -120 (@ NC State) for 5 units - similar to UCLA a potent Yellow Jacket offense has been held in check for two games. Big pitching advantage for GaTech too.

Florida -115 (vs. LSU) for 1 unit - believe LSU's pitching woes will continue as the Gators go for the sweep.

Cal -135 (vs. Oregon St.) for 1 unit - Cal also going for the sweep and has the more proven pitcher starting, plus a big advantage on the offensive side.

3-1 on the day just losing the UCLA bet. But the big GaTech bet helped get me back near where I started the weekend.

Updated Record: 56-40 for +33.45 units

scott - betus has lines out now. They typically are not as favorable as thegreek (for both dogs and favs) however, they sometimes don't change their odds on line moves as quick as thegreek does.

today's play:

ASU -225 (vs. Zona) for 1 unit - couple weeks ago these two teams played a mid-week non-conference game and I took Zona as a 240 dog that came through. There are a couple of things that are different this time around in my mind. first the two clubs are headed in opposite directions since that game. Zona is 2-4 while ASU has gone 7-1. Also Zona's starter for that last contest has since been promoted to the weekend rotation. They will be starting a true Frosh tonight, Nick Cunningham. Cunningham has performed decent this season but this will be his first start. Tough task ahead of him and I don't see Zona pulling another upset win on the road.
