YTD Record: 40-30 for +25.9 units

Starting off turkey week with the game on Tuesday:

W. Michigan -10 for 3 units - much more talented team that has underachieved this year and had a few extra days to prepare for their home finale. Like them to put together a complete game and put away a bad Ball State club early.

few others late in the week:

Boston College -6.5 for 3 units - they have bounced back well after each of their other losses. Should be able to do the same against a Maryland squad that cashed it in long ago.

Tennessee -3 for 3 units - this will be the 11th straight game for Kentucky. Kentucky has put up 7 wins with none of them being really impressive (competiton wise). Tennessee is similar in that they haven't won any of the close ones, but their offense has been improving and has become pretty balanced with Crompton's play of late.

Navy -9 for 4 units - Navy has had an extra week off to prep for this tilt. Hawaii's pourous rush D is going to be an issue that will be a big downfal for them in this one.

I know it's very chalky, there are af few dogs that I like that I think I might get a point out of if I wait, plus looking into some injury information.

Gl guys

Like Navy Mr P...GL, with the exception of your Tenn play of course (altho I think it's probably the right play)...:box2: :D Ky did probably rest their main guys against EKy tho. Three weeks ago I was thinking of betting the farm on the Vols (in this game) but their D gave up too much against Memphis (403yds)...just wish I had thought about that before their game with Ole Miss. U are backing a 25yr SU streak tho.

Cruncher - Although I have not yet made up my mind on this game, I did want to point out something very important on that stat. Memphis only had 104 yards in the first half, and 88 of those 104 came on Memphis's only TD drive of the first half when the Vols were up 35-0 with about 3 min. to go before half. In fact, at one point the Vols had 35 points and Memphis had one first down! The Vols led 42-7 at HT and all the starters were pulled after the half.

Now, to sort of switch the mindset and support your argument, the Vols do have significant injuries at the linebacker position and in the secondary esp. if J. Jackson is not back. The charges against him were dropped yesterday, but no word yet on whether or not he will play.

The line is right where it should be IMO, as UT always seems to pull out a win in a close game. Randall Cobb will be the main factor if the Kats want to win this game as he is a local kid, who fatass Fulmer thought could not play here. He is a triple threat who can run, catch, and even throw as he was a high school QB.

GL with whatever you play my friend:toast:

Thanks Skip, I won't be playing the game, and if I did I'd probably be on the Vols. They have absolutely owned Ky in the past...and I'm not just talking about the last 25yrs. My one thought about the Tenn/Mem game was that Tenn was 'resting up' for Ole Miss and you have more or less confirmed that for me. I was just so disappointed about that game and was afraid their D has gone a little south...but I should have known better...UM just had one hell of an offensive showing.

Your sure right about Cobb Skip...what a player and a good kid. He means so much to Ky; how he ever got out of the state I'll never know but I'm sure glad. I know u understand where I'm coming from. GL with your plays this week friend.

No problem, and the defense will be MUCH better this week because Janzen Jackson will play and start Saturday against Kentucky.

Makes a HUGE difference with him in the secondary and will allow Berry to almost run a spy defense on Cobb

Sounds about right. If I remember he was all over Cobb last year. Probably his worst game of the year. If Ky just had a better passing game I would think they might have a chance...but it's medicroe at best.
