3-2 yesterday getting LSU, UVa and Wake (thanks jbly for that one). Lost MS State and Baylor, the Baylor won in the bottom of the 9th so another tough one to swallow.

Updated Record: 56-53 for +1.53 units

For Friday:

Miami -180 (vs. Wake) for 1.5 units - Whaley pitching for the Canes and he is one of the better #3 pitchers in the entire country.

Oregon -105 (@ OSU) for 1.5 units - cheap price for Keudell

Zona +110 (vs. ASU) for 1 unit - great pitching matchup in Heyer (Zona) vs. Rodgers (ASU) but I like Zona in this one and the series.

2-1 on the day getting Miami and Zona and missing on Oregon. That Zona/ASU game was a great one, scoreless until the bottom of the 9th, Heyer and Rodgers as good as hyped.

Updated Record: 58-54 for +2.55 units

For Saturday:

Kentucky +100 (vs. MS State) for 2 units - either Littrell or Rogers will pitch for the Wildcats (their 2 best starters) and that will be an edge over a MS State club that has used their best pitchers and played and extra game.

Florida -190 (vs. Vandy) for 2 units - Florida's depth on the mound and offensively will come through in their quest to revenge their loss on Thursday.

NC State +125 (vs. UNC) for 1.5 units - Wolfpack throwing their ace while UNC is eliminated so they will likely be taking it easy (if that can happen against an in-state rival).

adding:

Mizzou -215 (vs. Kansas) for 1 unit - hefty price but Tigers are the far better team, and have a much fresher pitching staff having played one less game.

I'm sure you've read that Purdue is hosting a regional at the Railyard in Gary. If you're near downtown you can probably make it there in about 30 minutes.

Were you planning to try and get there and see a few games?

Beautiful ballpark, albeit not in the greatest area.

I was thinking of you when I saw that. I'm definitely going to get to at least one. Would get to more but already have a Saturday roadtrip up to Milwaukee planned.

Thinking about the Friday afternoon and the Sunday evening one.

You going to head to any of them?

Some interesting matchups after digesting the bracket a bit. The Columbia, S.C. regional is going to be nuts w/ 3 in-state teams battling there. Not only did MS State get a tough draw with heading to the FSU regional, but Ron Polk will be there as he is w/ UAB now. Stanford and UVa have the easiest regionals of non-national seeds. Tuscon and College Station regionals appear the toughest to me at first glance. So major offense in that Tuscon regional.
