Glad you agree with LSU, ND. Unless they go into a funk from playing in the desert, there's no way they shouldn't cover this line. Arizona will never be good again until Mackovic leaves.

Is Farmer even playing? I thought he got banged up a little and may be out. Without him, Arizona's running game suffers greatly.

Laying DDs on the road is a tough thing to do, so I'm not playing this game, but it's hard to find a way to back Arizona here.

good luck guys.

Careful on Ralphie and the rest of CU

Careful on Ralphie and the rest of CU

Here's another one I'm going with:

5* Colorado -2.5
I don't envy UCLA with a new coach opening their season in Boulder against a team that already has a game under their belt. Colorado impressed me against their in-state rivals, and I think they put away the Bruins in a relatively close game.

Any comments on this or any of my games are most appreciated. I welcome feedback of all types.

NY REB....I think you're coming back from last week but as someone who lives in LA and backs USC, you might wanna think twice on this one. Despite a new coach, UCLA has loads of talent with lots to prove. Their d is very strong and they will always score points, even with an unproven QB. And they usually are fast starters. If you look at their past few seasons you'll notice that they play very well in the first 5 or 6 games. Last year early season they completely dismantled a pretty good Ok ST team in whereever the hell OSU is....stillwaters or tsunamis or some place like that. Plus, CU is going to let down alot. See them vs USC last year. SC 40....CU 3. in boulder.

Daftplayer is right, UCLA has ton of talent, especially on defense. I would pass on this game but there are very good reasons to take CO so good luck.

NY REB, i am with you on that AU -8 game. I put nice size bet on it. Take a look at USC 1st half against BYU. I think i might bet big on that too.

Glad you learned your lesson and not betting against my Trojans.
:nono: j/k

GOOD LUCK this weekend!

Well, it's interesting to here what the LA crowd thinks. I wonder how the Boulder crowd sees it:)

Scott, not so fast. I got a small play on BYU +22. Can the Trojans get fired up a second week in a row? If they do, they are damn good. That's better than just being real good:)

I guess if I mention it, I should make it official:

5* BYU +22
Just because.

ND2002,

AZ won @ Cal 2 yrs in a row, & also beat ASU 2 yrs ago. I believe last yr's Cal game came immediately after the mutiny incident.

LSU, on the other hand, won 2 of their last 6 games by a total of 4 pts last yr. One of those on a last second 75y TD pass. In 3 of those 4 losses, the Tigers allowed over 250y/game rushing & over 18y per completion. LSU QB Mauck played his 1st game since last Oct v LA-Monroe last week & completed less than half his passes. Offense rushed for only 168y in that game & converted on 6-16 3rd downs. LSU off still has kinks to work out before being made DD road fav's in my opinion. Other than a huge road win over Florida ly none of their other wins worthy of note:
Ole Miss
The Citadel
Kentucky
S Carolina
Miss St
LA-Lafayette
Miami-OH

I still cant make a great case for the Wildcats here, but the worst team in the Pac 10 rates pretty high compared to that list of opponents. I dont see the huge talent disparity that so many cappers here seem to think exists in this game.

One huge advantage for the Tigers, in my opinion, is the extra practice LSU got from going to a bowl game last year. Also, have to mention the late 7pm PST start time may turn out to be a help for AZ.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but leaning toward a small play on the home team & the pts here.

Your funny NY REB. I tell you what, BYU +22 is not a bad bet. They have a good passing attack and there still is a question mark on the USC secondary. They might be average or might be very good. We will find out against BYU who unlike AU has a good passing attack.

USC has been practicing well and USC will not be conservative on offense. There is only thing going into BYU's favor and that is their 3-3-5 defense. USC has not seen it and it "might" confuse Lienart. BUt there no question USC has better athletes and this BYU QB has "never" seen a defense like USC.

Watch for Reggie Bush (2nd string RB) and Justin Wyatt (4th string WR) to take it to the house. Both are our best players in the open field and they are not even starters. Thats how deep USC is. Look for big games by each. But i am not taking USC -22 but maybe 1st half.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!

Scott, hope your team wins the game but doesn't cover this week. Don't think their winning will be any problem:)

Rebel21, yes, you're right, a defense and a running game will help any football team. I'm "betting" the Rebs find these things this season. I look for a big victory over outmanned Memphis.

Although I already have more than enough games, there are four other games that have my attention. They are California, Notre Dame, Marshall, and Air Force. Are there any extremely likely winners among them? Should I just forget them? Any comments?

OK, gotta go with it. It just feels too right.

5* California -2.5
Bears have impressed me so far. Good show against Kansas St, and then throttled a decent Southern Miss team. I won a lot with Cal last year and have to go with them again here. Their offense is too potent and should outscore Col St by much more than a FG.
