Just curious, but what do you see in Iowa? I watched them play Pitt and their QB play is very weak. You could be on to something since NW's QB has been off almost all year. Tough for me to back Iowa after watching them play IWST and Pitt, Cyclones should of beat Iowa straight up, as they left alot of points on the field. I know Sutton may be out for NW, but will look at this game closer.

adding....

miss.+24(120)....

i watched the miss./wf. game a few weeks ago & came away liking this team. i think their loss to vandy last week was because miss. was looking ahead to this game against fla.....& even in a flat spot miss. held vandy to 11 first downs, 202 total yards & 3.8 yds per play....but lost because of 6 turnovers.

fla. is coming off a big game / win against tenn last week...but it wasn't a typical fla. win because they only gained 243 total yards....& that is how the fla. season is going so far...for the season they are averaging 37 ppg but are averaging only 332 ypg...but have a 10-1 turnover edge...so it seems like their performance this year is a little misleading.

fla. is 0-6 ats the last 6 times after tenn...& since becoming head coach of fla., meyer's teams have gone 1-9 ats as large favorites of 10 or more points in sec play....on the other hand while head coach of ark, houston nutt was 5-0 ats in the last 3 years when getting dd on the road.....

a system supporting this play....

play on - any team (miss) - with a turnover margin of -1 /game or worse on the season, after 2 consecutive games with a turnover margin of -2 or worse.

the ats record over the last 5 seasons is.....65-29......69.1%

over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is.....31-9.....77.5%

good luck

I am on Ole Miss as well. Fla has bigger fish to fry, and I'd be surprised if the Gators give maximum effort this week. GL

iowa-7...

i noticed that iowa coach ferentz has finally named stanzi as his qb, which means that he will not be yanking him & putting in the other qb & vice versa....never understood why coaches do this since a qb needs his reps during a game to get into the flow of the game. i think by stabilizing this position, iowa will be more effective & give them more balance on offense...btw i absolutely love the way their back green runs with power...last week against a pretty good defense, iowa outgained pitt by a little over 100 yards.

i know a lot of people like nw in this game, but i don't see it. true nw is 4-0, but 3 of those wins were against syracuse, s. illinois, & ohio at home....not real powerhouses. their other game was on the road at duke where they were outgained by 472-328 yards & where duke got 14 more first downs than nw.also the nw qb tends to throw the ball up for grabs....he threw 19 ints last year & threw 4 last week against the mediocre defense of ohio. even against this weak schedule, nw is ranked 9th in the big ten in scoring offense & total offense...

some trends.....

iowa is 10-0 ats in home games vs. poor ball control teams, 28 or less possession minutes/game since 1992.

ferentz is 21-8 ats off a road loss as the coach of iowa.

nw is 1-9 ats after 1 or more consecutive straight up wins over the last 3 seasons.

nw is ats after playing a non-conference game over the last 2 seasons.

fitzgerald is 1-9 ats after 1 or more consecutive straight up wins as the coach of nw.

fitzgerald is 1-9 ats after playing a non-conference game as the coach of nw.

good luck
