Rarely I make 2 plays in the same game, but I feel this situation justifies it.
Michigan -5
Maryland Team Total under 18.5
This is a monumental game for the Wolverines.
-Michigan needs the win to become bowl eligible.
-Michigan's last game is Ohio St next week on the road. Not a likely win
-Senior Day for Michigan
Maryland is a sinking ship.
-Maryland's offense has become stagnant.
-The Terps' main offensive weapon, Stephan Diggs is out for the year.
-CJ Brown (Terp's QB) is looking very uncomfortable. Without Diggs, it got worse.
-Maryland has rushed for 87 total yards combined the past 3 weeks. That's 29 yards a game. This will not improve in the Big House against a tough Michigan defense.
-Terps averaging 1.2 yards per carry last 3 games
-CJ Brown does not posses the skills to carry the team via the pass. His completion rate is 46% last 3 games.
-Terps bowl eligible already, win or lose.
Michigan is not exactly a powerhouse offense either, but they won't need to be Saturday. I simply do not see the Terps being successful offensively in that atmosphere against the Wolverines defense. Maryland has come unglued on offense as their running game has disappeared. This game is way too important for Michigan. They will be fired up and will play their A game.
I honestly don't see how this game goes over the posted total of 42.5 but I am just terrible at game totals especially in college. Michigan could put this over by themselves. Maryland doesn't get over 10 points offensively in this game.
