KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ?3 - Quite a bit has been made of the fact that Kansas City has lost 6 straight meetings with the Colts, and that they have not beat Indianapolis since way back in 1985. However, you can throw those statistics out the window, as none of those Chiefs teams were undefeated at home, and all of the prior meetings came before Priest Holmes came on the scene. The Chiefs outscored their opponents by an amazing 18.5 points here at home this year, thanks in large part to their Jeckyl and Hyde defense that allowed only 15.8 points per game in this stadium, as opposed to 25.8 points per road contest. Manning was just about perfect in the Colts demolition of Denver last week, but that was in the controlled conditions of the RCA Dome. It could be a different story here outdoors on grass, especially with the cold and windy conditions of Kansas City at this time of year. The Colts were 7-1 S/U on the road during the season, but they squeaked by vs. some modest competition, beating Houston by 3, Buffalo by 3, and losing outright in Jacksonville. This Chiefs team will probably be the best team Indy has faced on the road all year, and I look for the Chiefs to emerge victorious behind the running of Holmes.
