Well for being such a big injury and you'd have to believe it is, I haven't seen much if any line adjustment for it? I'm seeing the same 5.5 or 6 across most boards from last week, vegas and off shore. I would have figured a tick down at least? Any thoughts?

In my opinion, the odds-makers are as skeptical as the general public on this one, because they aren't sure if Freeney will play on Sunday.

I expect it to move down a bit, at least by the weekend, or when the Colts announce that Freeney will be a game-time decision.

If you're planning on taking the Saints hit it ASAP because it will move down.

I know he missed a few games this year...but they won every game they played... except for the last two when they decided to rest their starters.

Me thinking if your betting the SAINTS best to do so soon!!!
I was hoping line would get even higher in favour of Colts but with all this Freeney talk I imagine if anything its going to waver the other way....

Vegas wants more action on the saints so they had ESPN over hype the Freeney injury. It's a conspiracy!

T if ya going to have some action..

square as it gets w/a sponsoring book here at MJ.

they will get down...but will be slower than most..

already back to 4' at some off shores.

7 point tease w/book mentioned above w/ the over lookin' more enticing all the time.

Jaws looks for a game in the 30's...He is a smart as any when it comes to the big games..He watches more tape than Manning:scared

middle opportunities if ya have a way to get to the 4' I saw today..

Dime each side that sets up 5 middle chicken dinner

+6 [-115]Saints
-4' [-108]Colts

not that you are really interested because the game is bigger than a wager to you and others.

just passing along the middle opportunity.

Super Bowl is not the be all end all of wagering..Those who get caught up in that usually end up in the tank..

best ya going to get...

Per Rotoworld:

Colts RE Dwight Freeney (ankle) acknowledged at Tuesday's Super Bowl Media Day that he will not be able to practice before Sunday's game.

"Hopefully, towards the end of the week it starts to get better," he said. "The decision (of whether he'll play) will come later on. It's kind of early now." It's worth noting that NFL Network's Warren Sapp vehemently believes Freeney won't play. If he's active, he may be totally ineffective.

Totally agree. My biggest wagers were made during the season when there were a host of games to choose from.

I have a 6 point middle opportunity but I'm laying a bunch of juice with the Saints (but with 10.5 points)

Very Small 1/2 unit play:

I already have the Colts -4 locked in, but with the Freeney injury I think the Saints will keep the game within 10 points.

Per Rotoworld:

Colts RE Dwight Freeney confirmed reports that he has a torn ligament in his right ankle.
Freeney will be held out of practice all week. Walking with a limp in flip-flops during Tuesday's Media Day, his ankle was "noticeable swollen." Freeney did say that the swelling is down from "the size of basketball" a week ago. The Colts are preparing as if their star pass rusher will not be available Sunday.

Just a hunch that Freeney will be declared Inactive or listed OUT by Saturday. ;)

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I read somewhere that the Colts have to make that decision by Wednesday ?

I believe the injury report comes out on Thursday.

Teams are required to list their official inactive list of players 90 minutes before kickoff, but can declare a player out or inactive at any time during the week.

I will say this about the game/injury. I for am from Indy and will be rooting for the Colts win or lose. I have seen my team when a Super Bowl already and of course I want to see them win again but it will not be the end of the world if they lose. Anybody but N.E., S.D. and Dallas is O.K. in my book.

But when it comes to betting on the game, I go back to something I have stuffed in my pea sized brain that I have learned from over 30 years of gambling.

I don't have numbers but I do recall that many times a line will swing in the opposite direction due to an injury of player or that player being scratched from the game. And if memory serves me right... most of the time the team with injured or missing player ends up winning. Call it what you will. If this was Manning then I would already be saying wait till next year.

Freeney would be a big loss but it is far from causing the Colts to lose or the Saints to win. Many have stepped up before in big games replacing a player and have had huge impacts. I have no idea what the outcome will be, but I think some may be overthinking this.

By the way GO COLTS! :00x11

IF FREENEY ends up playing and is effective in this game then I say this is a HUGE GAFFE brought on by Vegas for SAINTS ACTION!!
SAINTS win outright IMO anyway with or without Freeney but if this is the case its a DISGRACE that a team is allowed to rattle the media and fans with BS like this.

Freeney feels better

:142smilie

he may not even been injured in the Jets game, it was too easy to set it up to psych the Saints
offensive game plan.

its a shitty business really
