A Monday MRI confirmed that Reggie Wayne sustained a torn right ACL and meniscus during Sunday night's win over the Broncos.

It's a crippling injury for the 5-2 Colts. Wayne, one of the most productive and durable receivers in NFL history, led them in catches (38), yards (503) and targets (58) through seven weeks. Barring a trade, they'll move forward with T.Y. Hilton and Darrius Heyward-Bey in two-wide sets and ask for bigger contributions out of talented second-year WR LaVon Brazill and TE Coby Fleener. Wayne will turn 35 next month and his $4 million base salary in 2014 is non-guaranteed. It's conceivable that the leader of the Colts has played his last NFL snap after 13 seasons.

According to multiple reports, Buc's Doug Martin sustained a labrum tear in his left shoulder Sunday and is likely out for the season.

Martin's wildly disappointing second NFL campaign ends with a thud. In six games, he's rushed 127 times for 456 yards (3.59 YPC) with just one touchdown and added a meager 12 catches for 66 yards. Now he'll watch the rest of the season as sixth-round rookie Mike James operates as the feature back with third-round rookie Mike Glennon at quarterback.
