Colts OVERRATED defense

I love to see all these posters either betting on the Colts or the under stating how Edge will be used to control the clock on offense then turn it over to the Colts "stifling" defense. It really makes me laugh. Let's see who the Colts have played:

1) SF (32nd ranked O in the league)
2) Houston (31)
3) Baltimore (27)
4) Cleveland (24)
5) Jax (21)
6) Tennessee (17)
7) St Louis (2)

Yep, real big powerhouse offenses. In the one game where they actually played a team capable of scoring, St. Louis' Mark Bulger was ripping their oh-so-great D a new one to the tune of a 17-0 lead after the first quarter until he got injured in the second. And he was doing it w/o Isaac Bruce. And even though Bulger left in the 2nd the Rams still rolled up 346 yards of total offense.

If anyone thinks the Colts are going to come into Gillette and shut down NE they have another thing coming. The Pats have injury troubles on defense yes that is true, but their offense is still potent, ranking 4th in the league (Colts are 9th btw)

Just some food for thought for those betting the Colts and under.

Jam, your forgetting the Patriots have lots of injuries on offense also. Believe me, I'm big a fan as any Patriots fan and go to 5 or so games year, but guts is about all they have going for them now.

I think Indy will be able to move the ball very similar to Denver did against Patriots. Guts are all that stop Patriots from getting killed in Denver. And San Diego offense (very similar to Colts) move ball at will against New England. Hey, I hope I'm wrong, have been before like Brady s first home game starting against Indy, I was on Indy big and shit myself when Brady & Patriots won 44-17??

actually its refreshing to see objectivity on the forum. i highly doubt shamrock wants new england to lose. but for as good as this forum is, there are way too many homers who cant separate their heart from their bankroll. seeing guys post "we wont lose" or "we have a good defense" or whatever gets old, because none of the guys here are strapping on the helmet and shoulder pads nor is anyone on a team roster.

ahh- I bet to make $$to pay my bills and eat. Not playing against a certain team ended sometime after little League. Not sure what to tell you eagle, evidently you haven't been betting long, or you abnormally loyal to your team, believe me I'm on Patriots far far more than their opposition, but it's about the money.

So why not stay away from the game? I know its about making money but going against your team in my opinion is a sin. It came back and bit you in the ass, what went through your mind after the game? You lost money and your team won. I just dont see the point in putting yourself in that situation. If you are a fan you want your team to win even when you think they will lose. Thats why I feel its best to not bet the game. Then if they win you can enjoy it. Isnt that what being a fan is about???

I agree with PatsJamm. Other than Jack all the rest are no good. Look at who NE played the last 5 before the bye wk. Car, PITT, SD, ATL ,DEN then the bye and the tune up against Buff and they put these guys to bed tonight. Nothing has changed NE wins this one.

My team as you refer to them as, charges me about $150 per game, 50 to park, 8 for a beer. I support them as much as anyone, I know more about them than any of the other 31 teams, why shouldn't I use that information to my benefit to make money.

Super Bowl 2001 when Patriots were gigantic underdog s to St. Louis rams (14 points) I played them ml and made a mint. It's not really MY TEAM Eagles, they make good money off me any possible way they can, I just try to get some back now and again.

Good luck & btw if this line keeps moving I'll tease New England if I can get 10 +

If you are from Boston, why would you think they arent your team? Just saw you were from Boston and you have a Patriot logo next to your name. Ive got the Pats +10.5 as the last part of a teaser. I like it. Best of luck to you too.

Betting against your team is a nice hedge as well. Doesn't make it as bad to lose your bet :mj07:

I agree Sham, love the Pats, but they lose tonight IMO.

Eagles, they are Robert Kraft s team, not mine. They charge me every chance they get, not really sure how else to explain to you.

Good luck with the 10', I wouldn't play them with anything less

I like Indy -3 which is what I got. I would feel comfortable -4 not much higher.
