I think its sillt to make this bet now..............hrck if youre going to bet them to win the AFC why not just bet them to go all the way.........you really think they are going to get to the big game and blow it against the likes of Seattle, Carolina or whomever from the NFC???? especially playing indoors in Detroit.

So. Cal
why?

put that 1000 on indy ml in their first playoff game (-350 probablr pretty high) but still that nets you a profit or approx of 300

then take your 1300 on indy to win the afc champ (-350 again....prob pretty high) that nets a profit of 400.....

end result of 1700....more than your 1500 and you risked the same 1000

the key is what do your think the ml will be in the two indy playoff games....vs sd and cincy or den they will likely be less than 350 in each game

Can't tell - Chargers will beat the Colts - Cincinnati will take them out in the playoffs. Simple - Manning couldn't win the big one in Pop Warner, High School, or College (Florida :mj07: ). No reason to think he will break out this season. He can run through the regular season all he wants - winning the big one this year is not in the cards.

No way they're favored by more than 7 or 8, no matter WHO they play in the AFC championship. And if they play SD or CIN it wont even be that high. You are pipe dreaming. Like I said in my other post though, if you're sold on the colts goin to the super bowl, then the better the matchups the easier your wins will be odds wise.

Pipe Dreaming.....HUH........IF they are undefeated they will be at the very least 9 points over anyone they play.........if fact I am so sure that maybe you would like to wager right now with me that.........

1. If Indy is undefeated and in the AFC championship game.......
2. The pointspread will be higher than 8 points.......

Let me know if you want to bet and how much....we will both send or money to someone we trust here......we will just see who is more confident in their opinion........but remember I am basing my opinion of any playoff game line on the premise that the Colts stay undefeated.......

hope ur right, got them 4/1 to win afc in summer ... but its far from foregone conlusion, Minny vs Falcs and many more upsets in nfl history, notably SBs 3 and 4 with huge spreads ... I do like indy at home etc, but SD and cincy are both scary ... gl, gregg

Ridiculous....

Ridiculous....

Where the hell did you find them at 4-1.....they never got over 3-1 to win the whole thing? 4-1 to win the AFC? Let me know where you bet your futures..by the way, making a statement about Manning not being able to win the big one is not a foolish one....win the AFC and the monkey is off his back - until then he will be known as a solid choke - good old happy feet Manning.. :mj07:

I saw them in a few places at as high as 6-1 before the season started.............Philly was the favorite.........

Dont look now but all of a sudden Patriots are healthy, I know I know they wiped the floor with them on there on field but this Pats team is already 10x better since that game. They were not healthy then, just got back Dillon, Faulk, and Bruschi is getting better every week he is the heart and soul of that defense. Belicheck is going to have to get a perfect game from his depleted secondary, he has before so dont be surprised if he does again.

One thing is i usually bet my futures long before seasons start: such as Duke 9/1 to win ncaa this year, and NC to win it LY at 10/1 ... got Colts 4/1 to win afc at 5 dimes ... got them to win SB at 8/1 one place and +715 another ... when spurs won title #2 i got them at 12/1 too in july (after i saw Ginobili in INDY world games).... I advise doing this if you really like something b/c seems you can lose 50% of value waiting till opening games ... I'm not sure Munich wins Oscar but found it at +300 at OLY, bet some on it, and its now +100 ... Same thing happened to Chicago (musical) a few years ago, got it at +250 off the bat and it went to -700 by oscar night ...
