Okay this late in in the football season and one thing we should all know right now is its not safe to lay points with either off these teams.
QB Matchup- Both qb's should be ready to have their best games of the season. Both teams need a W in this spot. Manning and Culpepper both are leaders for the mvp race both want to show the other one up tonight.
Minny has the number 1 offense in the league the colts are ranked 2nd. Minny has the 25th ranked D the colts rank dead last.
Minny has looked average since moss has been hurting but the colts d makes an average team look like a superbowl offense every week.
Minny has no answer for the colts anyway you look at the game. If the Colts want to pass they will pass and score if the colts want to run they will run and score. Edge should have no problem averging 5 yards per carry tonight and he has now became a bigger threat catching passes out of the backfeild with teams dropping to many players deep into coverage.
Colts D also no answer for the vikings unless tice decides to try to beat them with the run. Vikings should try to get back to the basics and quit trying to play ball the ball control offense that has slowed them the last 2 weeks. They need to think big chunks of yardage at a time not 2 4 yard dump passes. Vikings know their best chance of winning this game is to get into a shootout with the colts. Colts d has 15 sacks this year which isnt really that many when you consider how many times teams have thrown the ball against them. Culpepper should have time to sit back and wait for his recievers to get open against indy's pathetic secondary. Culpepper hasnt been running as much this season but i wouldnt be surprised to see him take off more tonight if recievers are coverd.
I think the best play tonight is on the over 58.5. Normally when i see 58.5 as a total in a nfl game i think i'll play the under, but that thought hasnt dawned while capping this game.
Every possesion will be important tonight neither teams will have an answer for each other.
