someone calls palmer a pathetic pretender and I have to apologize. I just stated it was one game and he's a great player. manning had 4 subpar games in a row. why wasn't he a pathetic pretender.

i suppose i'll elaborate by saying that people hear don't care to see the long term and judge one performance by what they've seen last.

perhaps i'm hanging with the wrong crowd.

I had a hard time making that Colts bet, and I use money mgmt on a regular basis. I agree with you Palmer has been much better than Manning the last 4 games. I came into the game tonight thinking it was a loser but didn't care much about it because I was ahead for the week. Brush it off man, I got a whole season of 35+ losers that have cost me $$$$ too. Everyone hates a loss but it's always fun watching the game.

Two of Palmer's four last games were against Oakland and Cleveland, give me a break. Manning was and still is undefeated at home. There is and was no reason for you to take offense to my post. You gave your opinion, I responded with mine. Manning had over 1,100 yards passing in the past four games, I don't call that subpar, average at best. I'm sorry if you took a bath. just got home from the colts game. Man it was loud and proud for sure. The colts 12th man was in full effect.

Bengals tried to run the ball, but didn't really work to well, and Johnson was thrown the ball 6 times, 3 catches and 3 drops. How can those two expect to be compared to Peyton and Marvin

First off on this game-------->:mj02:

I pretty much knew when the dink and dunk bullshit started early I was hosed. I really expected a vertical game, but neither team would throw t over 20 yards. I think Peyton took one shot down field? And the Bengals really tried to exploit the Colts poor run defense, but why keep beating your head against the wall? They never broke a long one which I thought they would, but it was obvious with everything surrounding this game, the Colts were hell bent on stopping the run. Why not run some play action and spread it out? For once, it looked as if Indy out coached someone which is rare to say the least. Freeney and Mathis were just sick, and wouldn't let Palmer breathe which really killed the Bengals. I considered middling this when my local gave me 56.5, but put a little more on Indy, and with college bball had a winning day. But this hurt, I really needed some Xmas $$$$.

As for Manning vs Palmer.....what QB would look good with the constant heat the Colts D-ends brought? No question in my mind Manning has taken a sub 500 team and virtually single handedly made them 11-3. However, like years past....come playoff time it wont be enough. He wont be able to work his magic when the opposing team is handing the ball off 9 straight plays, and chewing up yardage and clock. It will put him where he has always been, backed into the corner where one mistake will be too many.

Although most of the time, it's kinda like Good Will Hunting....WTF are you doing hanging around here. Really hope you drop a strong play or two and some knowledge every now and then. you're right agent, tough break on the total, my opinion was over or nothing and the colts with you but with it being MNF and in inflated total and colts D kind of at its low point I passed, but I can see your rationale, Cincy kept trying to run when it was obvious they were going to be able to....
I'm not one to "beg" for people to not leave, etc, but there's very few posters whose posts I constantly read and I nod with on almost everything they say, and bdb is clearly one of if not the most knowledgable and sarcastic sports betting guy here, gman was already almost "chased off" well not exactly, but hopefully someone else good doesnt, just gotta agree to disagree and not get too angry or annoyed if ppl disagree, palmers good but a little overrated, but people do judge too much week to week and whatever way the wind blows :shrug:
