My point is that the coverage is almost 3 times more expensive in terms of premium and OOP max as plans we were offered by Humana in 2010.

I haven't even attempted to check the site yet. I get it through my employer at a very good rate so I haven't been too concerned.

200k per year for a couple is not middle class  your wife must have a hell of a good job

Wife is not a huge earner, but healthcare coverage is outstanding. That and 4 weeks vacation is why she is there. If her plan is cancelled or terms change---which appears possible given current landscape--- , then she will work for the school system until she is ready to "retire".

It's been proven time and time again that if you are in the minority you end up losing. It doesn't matter what we are talking about- if you are one of the few affected then the mass doesn't give a shit. Most people are unaffected by this so they could care less about the pain the minority of our population will feel.

Really though this is just a microcosm of how fucked up our healthcare system is in general. This country is an embarrassment and both sides are to blame.

The prices for me have been lower than what I pay now with similar coverage, less of a network. I've kept maternity coverage which really makes things expensive. If you're paying lower than this coverage now, in general, it's because your Company is covering most of your coverage and still will be able to.

The poor already had/have coverage, this isn't about the poor.

There is no excuse in this country for anyone to go without healthcare coverage. I just hate the bullshit.

"If you like your plan you can keep it". "Premiums will be lower for most Americans".

I don't like being talked to like I'm a moron. I guess most Americans are so they can't see through the BS. I wish the administration would just say "it's a tax. A healthcare tax. Most tax-paying Americans are going to pay more for care".

But we can't do that, can we. We have to "keep" our campaign promise not to raise taxes on the 99%. Smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors.
