What software do you normally Run ??? If you had to catagorize it under Business or Gaming what would you say you use your PC most for ?

To make up that 2 gig of RAM is it 2 sticks runnning in Dual channel mode or 4 running in Dual channel mode to make a total of 2 gig ?

Nice Machine ...but the Hard Drive will be the bottleneck in that sys ....if you can give up some storage go with the SATA 10,000 RPM Drive at 80gig .

The processor ...Ram ...and Front side buss are screaming for a RAID 0 Array on this PC if the option is available Run 2 Western Digital SATA Raptors 10,000 RPM drives ...The Raid 0 software will treat it like 1 drive that runs at 20,000 rpms.

help me choose does not give that info

this is all they ask you

512MB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz - 2DIMMs [subtract $230]

1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 2DIMMs [subtract $160]

2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs [Included in Price]
Great Performance

4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs [add $270 or $9/month2]

I think it looks like a good deal, you're getting huge RAM and disk, pretty fast CPU Chip (tho not the fastest available) I don't think you really need XP Media Center 2005 over plain old XP pro, but that's your call. Adobe is up to v7.03, but i don't think they'll affect your bottom line cost much..

Good luck with your new PC!!!

Got media center on another pc and really like it.

Sounded like a pretty good deal but always nice to have it confirmed by the experts.
