DSL question
I have DSL from Verizon, which I am beginning to think sucks. Anyway, I think the problem is partly due to my modem (which is a Westell 6100) that they suppiled to me for free. I have a brand new linksys WRT54G Linksys router that works great. The modem has to be set up as a "bridge" modem in order to communicate with the router. However, if I am to put the modem in "bridge" function directly to the cpu it will not work, it will only work in PPoe this way. It has to be set up in bridge function to go wireless. Also, now I am having trouble detecting the ip addy from my Linksys router. Anybody got any suggestions on this? I had a computer guy set it up for me initially (took him 5 hrs on the phone w/support - something I could have done too
) Also, it worked fine for about 2 months and when I got home yesterday it would not even detect my network.
Thanks!!
