I was watching and downloading movies;) using my windows media player. Deleted them out . I never saved them to a playlist or library. Now the problem.... When I open my windows media player and click on file right under the line that says work offline it has a list of 5 movies. The damn thing saved it somehow.  If I click on a movie it say no file found. I cant figure out how to clear them out.

In Windows Media Player
Go to Tools
Options
Then Click Privacy Tab (Top left)

At the bottom is a box that says "Do not Save File or URL History"

Click this box and hit ok and it should be cleared.

Also there is a clear history box there if that didn't work.

Bubba:
Go to www.historykill.com. You can buy the program for 19.99. Best part of the program is the pop-up stopper that comes with it. Does an excellent job. this program will erase your URl's, history, files, etc every time you log off. You can trial it for 14-days before deciding to buy.

Good luck

I dont have a privacy tab..
I go to WMP, tools, options, and here are the tabs I have....player,copy music,Devices,Performance,Media Library, visualizations, file types,DVD, and network.

Any other suggestions..I keep getting the "I know your lying to me but I cant prove it" look from my wife when I explain that these things just show up there. You know..like pop-up ads.:D

Check again right above the Player Tab I have a privacy Tab.

I have the same on the bottom as you
player,copy music,Devices,Performance,Media Library

Then right above those I have
Privacy, Security, Plug-Ins, File Type, and Network

If you don't have any luck finding privacy, I would advise checking through all of these tabs and looking for the "Do not Save File or URL History" (Should be near the bottom)

Good Luck, By the way, I always tell my wife, "Someone sent that to me in an email and I was dumb enough to open it." Hope that helps as well.

Ok..Got it fixed...I downloaded Windows media 9 and it had all the tabs that you described. I must have had an older version of WMP. Thanks for the help. I will keep in mind the e-mail excuse:D
