Computer Question

I've done it once before but have forgotten how to access it...if anyone can help, how do you get into the area where you can stop different programs from running in the background and free the system resources? Mine is currently at 61%.

nj- Thanks, not exactly what I'm looking for though. If I remember correctly, it goes from 'Start' then 'Run' then some command prompts a window the pop-up where you can control which programs run in the background. Hope that explains it better.

what OS are u using???

Windows ME

start...run...type...msconfig...hit enter...you can disable some programs that run at startup....hope it helps
