COMPUTER ?

I was wondering if someone could please help me with a problem I'm having with my other computer?

when I plug in my monitor into the back of the computer box thingy, there is NO picture on the monitor.
Then when I unplug the monitor there is a message floating around the monitor saying NO CONNECTION CHECK SIGNAL CABLE
does anyone have a clue if the monior is screwed or if it is the computer box thingy?
As you can tell I have no clue about computers!
If anyone could help that would be great thanks

Sounds like your video card failed. See if yah can borrow a second monitor to check out the status of the card.

I plugged in my other monitor and it says the same thing NO CONNECTION CHECK SIGNAL CABLE.
So you think it is the video card that failed?

turn off your computer, pull out your video board and reseat it, then power back up, make sure the power cord is plugged in good in the back of your power supply.
