My biggest fear is that "open carry" turns out like cell phones.Everybody gets to have one..Right to bear and all that..

we all know how well that worked out for motorist and in the work place.

a complete disaster creating peril and deaths along with lack of production by cell toters.

Goverment hasn't solved that problem YET..

We American's like to go over-board on everything..

Okay. Some states let you carry and some don't. What happens if one travels from a carry state to a non carry state?

You have to know the laws of each state you might be going to. Here is a map showing the reciprocity of each state. Click on the state you have your permit in, and it will then show what states honor it. I know people here in Missouri that have CCW's from Utah and Florida. The Utah class (taught in MissourI) is only 3 hours long, so that is what a lot of people take. The Florida and Missouri classes are full day.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
My buddies had Texas C+C permits, and took them and guns into Oklahoma and Arkansas and Louisiana plus NM and into AZ--those states had reciprocal agreements worked out with Texass. Looks like there's more now. But don't carry in Mexico! You land in a Mexican jail big time! :scared

I carried shotgun years ago when cruising the border areas with my snake hunting friends. Hadda have a small game hunting permit to catch snakes and lizards, and that was the "permit" to have a shotgun in plain sight in truck cab. Lotta crazy mofos on border could row across Rio Grande into Mexico in 10 minutes. :sadwave:

I have to move out of California, that would cost me at least $750.00 to buy here, 10 rd max, which I am sure you have 15 or 20 rd mags?

Email me, I have some very interesting sites I would like to forward to you.

I'm sorry, but anybody that applies for a concealed weapons permit that has no history of attacks against them or their family has a screw loose. What happens when one of you nuts loses your cool and becomes the shooter you are paranoid about? Ridiculous.

Rule # 1 in a gun fight

HAVE A GUN !

It's going to be one of us people you claim to have a screw loose that's will possibly save your life and the lives of the ones you love because we are Carrying Concealed.

I can't speak for the state of Tenn's entire test, but in CA, we have to be cleared by a psychologyst before we even get a CCW.

I sure am glad you have lumped us all into one basket gmroz :nono: Isn't that called strereotyping?

You can call it stereotyping or whatever you like, but if you are carrying a weapon on you when you leave the house (and you aren't in law enforcement), you are adding to the threat. If one of you guys walk in behind me at Subway, I'm not going to feel safer.

you wouldn't even know I was carrying when I was standing behind you in line....

How would you know?

They don't give CCW's away like they do law enforcement badges, those are the fuckers who are mentally unstable. Back to Subway, so if I were to be standing behind you, and some whacked out scum bag comes in for cash, wallets and jewlery, wouldn't you feel happy that A LAW ABIDING CITIZEN put an end to the crime before he killed someone? We as CCW holders don't go out in public hoping for a gun fight, but if the situation arises, we know we are competent in our skills to survive the situation and not become a victim.

Maybe should go to your local range and test drive a nice 9 or a snubby .38 ? You will be hooked

How bout posting some links so I can check out all these random shootings by those with a CWP. I mean if all these people have a screw loose then there must be a lot of examples out there right. For you to even suggest that those with a CWP are destined to become the bad guy makes you look very foolish. Finally, the most idiotic part of the post was waiting to get attacked before getting a CWP. I assume you dont wear your seatbelt? If you do I guess you had to have that first wreck before seeing the worth huh:rolleyes: I dont agree with you much, but I can usually see why you/others would take their position. This ones just complete ignorance.

That's the fantasy of most gun carriers - the extremely remote chance of the saving the day. Not gonna happen.

My fantasy is to be taller and to be just like you smurphy :0corn

and, it's not my fantasy of having to draw in a crowded room to save the day. Too many X factors that can make a bad situation worse
